After breakfast, you and Jack got ready for the day. You took a very needed shower (it was a little unnerving watching the pink tinted water swirl into the drain from all the dried blood) and redressed yourself into your outfit. Looking at yourself in the mirror was... strange. You looked strange, though it wasn't to bad since everyone in this town was strange in their own way. You were unique like everyone else. The thought made you smile.
Your skin was a dull shade of (F/C) and your eyes were lifeless tint of (E/C), yet they oddly still sparkled with life. It was hard to explain, kind of how when Jack was happy his sockets filled with joy despite not having pupils. Your hair was stringy and soft now that it was clean, and your cheeks were a bit hollow. As if you haven't been eating enough. You were dead, yet alive.
Were you a zombie now? No, they craved brains didn't they? And you weren't a cannibal just yet, at least you didn't think so? Well, you didn't crave human flesh, so that should count for something.
So caught up in your thoughts you didn't hear Jack's knocks on the door, "(Y/N)? (Y/N), are you okay? You've been in there for awhile."
You snap back to reality (Oh, there goes gravity) and open the door, a sheepish grin on your face, "Sorry, got caught up in my thoughts. It's just the first time... really, seeing myself. I guess I just was surprised is all."
Jack quirks the corner of his mouth and chuckles softly, "It's alright (Y/N), I remember my first day here too. It was strange but you get used to it."
He gently takes your hand in his skeletal one and leads you to your room, "Come on, let's grab your dress and head on down to the tailor."
________________________________A little bell chimes on the door as you and Jack enter the little shop in downtown Halloween town. You had greeted new faces along the way and made introductions, and now a wide smile was on your face as you approached the counter.
There sat a seemingly young woman (it was hard to tell with the masquerade mask on her face). She was dressed up in a fancy suit that sort of reminded you of a ring leader in a circus. Her hair was two-dyed black and purple and she had a little top hat resting on her head.
She looked up at you and her berry blue lips smirked, "Hello my dear lady, how may I help you today?"
You shifted in your place nervously, "Hello, i'd like for my dress to be patched up please, it's in a pretty rough shape."
You place it on the counter and the lady looks it over, tsking under her breath making you look down in shame and lean against Jack a little. He rubbed your shoulder comfortably.
"Well, it's not to damaged beyond repair thankfully, it should be fixed in no time." She smiles, placing it in a bin, "Im sure Jack will handle the expenses." She says teasingly, though with the pitch black diamond sockets in her mask hiding her eyes it was hard to tell her emotions.
Jack chuckles anyway, "Yes, I can Sphinx. Thank you for this."
She waves her palm dismissively, "Of course, no problem." She rests her arms on the desk and looks at you, "Though it is quite odd to see a new face around these parts. My name is Sphinx, the local tailor as you know and teacher of the young miss Sally. She's talked about you, you know."
You raise an eyebrow, "Good things I hope." You joke with a light laugh.
Sphinx laughs along, "Of course, you two are good friends I hear. I'm glad, the poor girl's had a rough life and you're just the friend she needed."
Jack huffs off on the side, "What am I, chopped liver?"
You laugh and Sphinx shakes her head with a little scoff, "Well, everyone needs more than one friend Jack, you of all people should know this."
Jack smiles, "I know I know, they'll be best friends I can tell."
You grin and rub the back of your neck shyly, "I hope so, she's nice."
Jack nods and heads for the door, "Thank you Sphinx, but we're going to head to the Mayor's to get her a new house built, we'll come by to pick up the dress later!"
Sphinx lifts a hand and waves, "Goodbye dearies~! Have fun!"
You wave back, "Goodbye! Thank you!"
And with that you leave with Jack down the road.
Sphinx looks back down at the dress with contempt, "So... she's back hm? " She huffs and stands, walking to the back room. A dark grin spreads on her plump lips.
"Guess I'll just have to warn ol' Boogie huh?"
So yeah, I added an OC
IM SORRY DX I COULDNT HELP MYSELF!
This is what she looks like in case you were wondering (in case my description sucked lmao)
Anyway I'll try to update faster, just been very busy lately. Until the next update! :3
