DR. ALEX STORM

Walking into work the next morning, I felt a wave of tiredness course throughout my body. I had a long work day ahead of me. First I had to clock in and I greeted the workers that I am closest to. Dr. Wells was sitting at his desk and when he saw me, he stood up from his office chair, lowering the glasses that laid on his face.

"Doctor! I've done some research," he spoke, holding some papers in his dry hands.

I cleared my throat, nodding, "yes?"

"This girl we've uh- taken in recently is a real nut case!"

There was a part of me that was irritated by the way he likes to poke fun at some patients.

"I've found some previous medical records and even some police records," he spoke, making my eyes widen slightly.

How could this tiny frail girl possible have done anything wrong–

"She's a survivor of an abduction!" Dr. Wells exclaimed.

My heart sank a little, feeling sympathy for our new patient. I wasn't even sure what to say.

"What do you mean?" I asked, slightly confused.

I followed him back into his office as he rummaged through more paperwork.

"She was hospitalized after being discovered by police at a house owned by a man named John Watson. He abducted her 4 years prior. This is the cause of her being so unstable."

Wow. This is definitely one of the most surprising and eye-opening cases I've had to date. Poor girl was kidnapped at a young age – I assume young because she already looks quite young now and that was 4 years ago. I'm still not even sure of her age. No one has gotten any information out of her yet.

"Watson was arrested after she escaped and walked 13 miles to a gas station," he read to me from the police report.

"She notified the worker about her abduction and cops were called. It says she was only 14 when she was abducted, so she has to be, what, maybe 18? 19 years old by now?" Dr. Wells spoke, "this police report was done 3 months ago. Very recent."

"What happened to the John guy?" I asked curiously.

His eyes scanned the report through his reading glasses, "It says Mr. Watson was arrested but was murdered in prison just one month after conviction."

I was shocked. Usually you find out about these things about people all the way across the world and from different places, but a victim of abduction and most likely serious abuse was sitting just 3 floors above, waiting for my assistance.

"Is her name on there?" I asked with slight excitement, ready to find out her name.

"Nope. No name."
