Mythical Defender | Into a New World

- Chapter One -

Once the team departed, Lance asked the team what in the quiznack happened while he was getting ready.

"We're heading for a planet called Tigoris." Shiro told him. "Entities thrive there, and possibly another race due to the ring that splits it in half. The Princess wants us to look at it."

"Oh. Sounds interesting!" Lance grinned. "Does it have any pretty girls?"

Everyone groaned.

"What?" Lance blinked. "I always wonder that."

"We're not worried about that, though, Lance." Keith gritted his teeth, annoyed.  "All we're going to be focusing on is the planet."

Lance sent a glare Keith's way. Even though those two had their bonding moment, Lance still had a way of getting on the mullet boy's nerves.

Silence soon replaced their voices as they continued flying towards the planet...until they noticed their Lions catching on fire.

"W-Whoa!" Hunk was freaking out. "What's happening?!"

"It's from Tigoris' atmosphere." Pidge replied to calm the teen. "We're about to land--"

Suddenly, all of the systems in the Lions started malfunctioning, blinking haphazardly.  The team tried to find ways to get it to stop, but nothing was working.

"Paladins!" the team could hear Allura through the intercom. "Paladins, do you hea--"

The line went dead before any of them could respond. Before they knew it, they tumbled down through Tigoris' atmosphere.

Keith groaned as he was the first one to regain his consciousness. He blinked several times until his vision fully adjusted.

He didn't know where they were until he saw creatures walking around, with fur of many different colors and markings.

They were walking down a village, completely surrounded by homes and markets. A large castle stood before the village, a curtain draped over the arch between the two towers.

It read:

Annual Solaria Fest coming up! Be prepared for lots of food, fun, and entertainment by the mythical and Legendary entities!

Suddenly feeling a throb in his head, Keith immediately rested a hand on his head. Instead, he felt fur.

What the hell?

That didn't feel right.

He put his hand to eye level...seeing that it wasn't a hand. It was a paw. A red-furred paw!

Keith immediately set his paw down, and looked beneath him to see that he was on all fours. And he had a tail with red striped markings on it.

That was really weird. The other members of the team seemed to think so after they started coming to.

"Whoa!" Lance was observing his new body. "Blue with water-like markings. Cool!" he saw that Keith had a fire mark right on his forehead, slightly hidden by his bangs. "Fire, huh? Kinda expected that.

"Hey guys!" Hunk was jumping around in his new plump, yellow body. "Look at the cute tail I have! I wonder why I have it, though..."

"It seems that when we landed here, we somehow got turned into entities." Pidge observed, seeing that she had a grass marking on both of her paws and a light green fur color.

"And there's no sight of the Lions anywhere from over here." Shiro sighed, pawing his white hair out of his eyes. He was black-furred with white paws and a swirl marking on his chest. "We need to look around and ask if anyone's seen them."
