Seaweed Brain and Wise Girl

So I was originally going to write this in two chapters. But I am getting awesome and very good suggestions from my dearest friend HarrryPotterRulz and I decided to not be lazy and to just write it in one chapter. So yeah. I hope you enjoy.

Annabeth's POV

I was laying down in the Athena Cabin on Daedalus' laptop, trying to decipher some blueprints I'd found a couple days before. I still couldn't figure out what this had been for. Why would you need to build this?

Anyway, I was just sitting there when I heard a knock on the door. I thought it was one of my siblings at first, but they don't exactly have a reason to knock. I walked over to the door to see the one and only Perseus Jackson. My best friend and the guy who's super oblivious to my super big crush on him.

He smiled at me. "Hey." I just smiled a little and waved awkwardly. "So, I was wondering if you would meet me out at the beach after the campfire tonight?" He scratched the back of his neck. I smiled.

"Is love to. What's the occasion?" I inquired.

"I-uh- gotta go." And then he ran off.

It was exactly after the campfire and I had seen Percy scramble to beach before me. So at least I knew he wasn't going to ditch me. I walked over and saw his silhouette standing with his back to me, staring at the sea.

"I just thought it would be easier to ask you if it was dark." His voice rang through the night.

"Ask me what, Percy?" He turned to me and started to walk toward me. He grabbed my hands.

"Something." I could practically hear his smirk. I smiled. Just a bit.

"Well, if you're not gonna tell me, then why should I have to be here?" I joked. He smiled and spun me around.

"So I can spend time with you, Annabeth. Can I tell you something?"

"That's what we came here to do, right?"

He leaned down so his lips touched my ear. And he whispered. "I love you, Annabeth." He moved away from my ear and walked away. He started yelling and looking up at the sky, like he was yelling at Zeus. "But you probably don't like me because I'm so fucking dumb. I mean what kind of Athena kid wants to date a dumb Poseidon kid. We have no potential whatsoever. Plus, I'm probably not even your type, so I guess it doesn't matter anyway."

He kept going on and just complaining and complaining about this stuff while I just sat there, dumbfounded. I finally came back to reality and looked at Percy. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. I pulled his head down and kissed him softly.

"Opposites attract." I told him. "I love you too, Seaweed Brain." He looked down at me and smiled. Finally. We kissed a little more. Suddenly, it was 12 am. Percy pulled away.

"Hey. We should get to bed." I frowned. That meant we parted separate ways. He grabbed my hand and dragged me with him. He pulled me into the Poseidon Cabin.

   "Percy, you know what happens if we get caught?" I asked him as he took off his shirt and went into the bathroom with a pair of sweatpants. He came back out about two minutes later in his sweatpants and threw his clothing on the floor. I blushed because I couldn't take my eyes off of Percy. He had amazing muscles. He laughed.

   "I do know what happens if we get caught. Like what you see?" I just looked down and blushed. "Hey, you know it's okay because we are practically dating now." I smiled a little. He picked my chin up and kissed me softly.

   He ran over to his drawers and picked out a random t-shirt that would never fit him and some sweatpants. That would never fit him. He threw them to me. "Here. Get dressed. I'm not watching." He turned to face the wall and closed his eyes. I put on his clothing. They were comfortable and it was considerate because I was wearing denim shorts and a tank top with a cardigan. So it was nice that I didn't have to sleep in that.

   "I'm done." I said quietly. He turned and came closer.

   "You look better in my clothing than I do." I laughed. He picked me up and carried me bridal style to the bed.

   When we got in the bed, he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. He put one hand on my waist and one hand by my head. I wrapped my arms around his neck. He grabbed my leg and pulled it onto his waist and then bent his leg so it was on top of my other leg, that wasn't wrapped around his waist. And we fell asleep like that. The last thing I remember was staring at a box on his bedside table. And wondering what it was....

   I woke up the next morning to Percy scrambling around the room. When he saw me sit up, he ran over and grabbed the box for the bedside table and plopped down across from me.

   He smiled at me. I saw a ring on his finger. It was silver and it had a simple band. There was something engraved in it but I couldn't see. The only thing I knew was that I'd never seen him wear it before. He gave me the small, gold box. I looked at him weirdly.

   "I thought if we did end up dating, I'd give you this. Open it." I opened it. It was a ring. It was gold with a simple band, and engraved on it was Wise Girl. I smiled. Percy came closer and showed me his silver ring. The word engraved were Seaweed Brain. I hugged him after I put on the ring. We stayed like that for a while.

   "Do you want to go eat now, Annabeth?" Percy asked me.

   "Do you know how many questions are waiting for us?"

   "Yeah, and frankly, I don't care." He pulled me out of the room and we both ran, smiling, to the cafeteria.

Hey guys! Sorry I wasn't able to post this yesterday. It took a while to write and stuff. I also wanted to read. But yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter cause I know I enjoyed writing it.
