Drive

4 1 1

Do you want to go for a drive?
I need to feel more alive
Instead
Of feeling like a zombie
Half dead
Can you drive for me?
It's easier to see
From the passenger seat
And that way I can photograph
Every smile
Every laugh
And I can take in my surroundings
For they're what's grounding
Us to Earth
Maybe when you see these pictures
You'll see your worth
If we pull to the side of the road to watch the sunset
People will just see unknown figures
People with names no one knows yet
But with these pictures
Maybe they'll learn your face
It's so full of grace
As your eyes trace
The outline of the clouds
And I can't think of any place
I'd rather be
I just need you next to me
Without you
I don't think I could survive
So please
Let's go for a drive
