*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*
I slam my hand on my alarm clock. Alarm clocks suck. Who had that idea anyway? I'm pretty sure no one in this world would want to wake up to an annoying beeping sound right at their ear every morning.
Oh yeah, I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself.
Hi. My name is Asher Davis.
I'm a 15 year old Freshman at SouthWest High. I only have about one or two friends there, and I would try to make more, but no one really likes me. You see, I've been bullied since I was in the third grade. During the time I was in Kindergarten-second grade I always stayed away from people. No one really noticed me. Then third grade came along (and the genius that I was) I thought to myself:
"This is the year where I'm going to make more friends. I'm sure it'll be fun, what could go wrong?!"
Well since I had spent all those years hiding and staying away from people, I had no experience with friends and I wasn't aware of what could happen when I tried to make them.
"Why are you all of a sudden trying to talk to me?"
"Go away! Weirdo!"
"Why are you following me around?"
"You're so creepy. Stop trying to be my friend, I don't want you around me!"
That was the year where everything went downhill for me, and it's been the exact same thing throughout fourth grade, fifth grade, middle school and now.
But no need to get off topic. I think we left off at alarm clocks, yeah. Well as soon as I made sure I didn't break mine, I started to get ready for school. Khaki shorts, navy shirt, and my favorite black Converse High-tops. (Terrible outfit, I know, but my school has uniforms.) I ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, grabbed my book sack and got on the bus. I wish I could lay in bed all day and eat. Food and sleep aren't capable of bullying you.
I should probably mention that I was diagnosed with Depression when I was in the fifth grade, and Social Anxiety when I was in the seventh. It will probably make this story that I'm writing a lot easier to understand.
So I got on the school bus and sat in the last seat on the left side of the bus. no one ever sat there, it's like my own secret place. The girl two seats in front of me, Stella Bridges (aka the most popular girl in school) was whispering to her best friend about how dumb my shoes looked.
"He always wears those stupid black shoes. They aren't even in style. They just make him look stupid." She would say.
It's normal, she does it every morning. Every day there's something new, it could be my hair, my shoes, my glasses, my face, anything.
Yeah. It makes me feel pretty terrible, but whatever. Everything she says is probably the truth.
