I headed over to my second period, Science. I hate science. I'm never smart enough when it comes to science. Never enough just to get at least a B.
I walked into the classroom and sat in my usual desk and got out my notebook to start my work. I'd do anything to get out of school right now.
At the end of the school day I was walking to the bus lanes and I happened to see Lily trying to find her bus, she seemed confused.
"Having trouble finding your bus?" I said.
"Yeah, I'm bus 348, do you know where that is? I've been looking for it for 5 minutes." Lily replied in her usual soft voice.
Best. Day. Ever.
"Hey awesome!" I said, a little too excitedly, "I ride bus 348 too! Follow me."
Lily and I walked to the bus and sat in seats parallel to each other in the back of the bus. I can't believe she rides this bus too, but I didn't see her this morning. She might have sat in the front since it was her first day.
Speaking of which, "How was your first day here?" I asked her.
She smiled, "You're the first person that's asked me that, it was great! But gym class here is really hard, the coach is so mean!" She laughed.
"Yeah Mrs. Baxter can be a little rude at times, but you get used to it," I told her.
"Haha, anyways the bus is coming up to my stop. I can't wait to see you tomorrow!" Lily said with a smile.
"Bye!"
When I got off the bus I flopped down on my bed, I couldn't stop replaying that last sentence she told me before she left. 'I can't wait to see you tomorrow.'
Lily is actually excited to see me tomorrow. She wants to see me. I make her happy, and she makes me happy. She's the first person in a long time that makes me happy. That's an amazing feeling.
