The first thing I talked about when Lauren woke up as we were already in the airport was the recent news I received from Lucy. The green-eyed girl was easily put out of her slumber, frantically asking me questions. I managed to discuss everything about her though and she told me that she'd come straight to Lucy's house when we got to Miami. It was a two-hour flight and I would've offered to come with Lauren but I knew she wouldn't let me. I had to rest too so, I let her go on her own, insisting that I take her things back to their house instead. Because I was too tired, I fell asleep at Lauren's room after talking with Clara. When I woke up, there were a few missed calls from Dad and messages from the other girls, our manager, a couple of people from our management, but none of them were from my girlfriend. I sent her a text, telling her that I slept over their house and replied to Dad, saying the same thing before proceeding to do my daily morning routine.
Padding to the kitchen, I heard Mike's low voice chuckling with Clara. I smiled at how their love for each other never seemed to die and wondered if Lauren and I would be the same in the future when we already have our own family. Before I could even get more sentimental, I made myself known to the couple.
"Oh, y/n," Mike said when he spotted me. "Come get breakfast with us. You're just on time."
I smiled, taking a seat in front of him as Clara served a dish that instantly made my mouth water. I assumed it was a Creamy Cuban Fu Fu, having her and Sinu cook for us before.
"Damn, that looks great," I said, smiling when I heard Clara's laugh.
"You didn't eat anything before you go here, did you?" She asked, her motherly tone causing me to smile sheepishly.
"Lauren was in a hurry and I was exhausted too," I said, nodding appreciatively at the coffee Mike placed beside my plate. "Thanks."
"How are you, y/n?" Mike asked as Clara took her apron off before sitting beside me. "How was the Midnighters' Day?"
"It was good," I said, taking the fork and shoving it to my food. "Great, actually. It felt like we weren't with our fans. It felt more like having a huge family around us."
I took a bite of the dish and moaned at the taste. "Clara, this is so delicious! You have to teach me how to make this."
The woman giggled, gulping down her own food. "I will next time. Thank you."
"How are you guys here? Isn't Taylor coming home to visit?" I asked, remembering how my girlfriend used to call her siblings when she had the time to. "Lauren misses her and I'm sure you do too."
"She might be coming home this weekend but she won't be staying for long," Clara said, sighing deeply. "You know, preparing for her graduation and all. She's so busy nowadays. Chris would probably come visit too. Mike already got a reservation for our dinner but we can inform them about a few changes. Why don't you ask Darius to come with us?"
"Oh, that's okay," I said bashfully, waving my hand slightly. "I don't want to intrude on your family dinner."
"But you're family," Mike said, smiling warmly at me. "Besides, Taylor and Chris would want you there too and I got some things to discuss with Darius as well. He's been telling me a lot about his coworker lately."
"Thalia," I said, grinning. "He has an eye for her and we're totally okay with it. But thanks for inviting us. I'll ask Dad about it."
"I hope Sailor would be free by then?"
"I'll make sure he would be," I said with determination, nodding my head. "Anyways, when is Taylor finishing college?"
"The first of June," Clara said, beaming at the success of her own daughter. "You should come with us again, y/n."
