It's been a week since school started and I am still having a hard time settling in. I am not used to the sudden change in my normal school life. I barely see any of my only 3 friends, my classes are filled with people I don't recognize, and my classes are actually harder and more time consuming than I thought. For the past 3 years that I have been in this school, things have gone pretty smoothly, so I guess it was only a matter of time until I faced some issues.
This class has been going on for what feels like forever. Doesn't she get tired of rambling on and on about the same things? I glanced at the clock behind me one more time hoping that more than 5 minutes have passed since the last time I checked it. I look down and notice that the dark brown haired kid is sleeping again.
I have never seen his face before because he is always taking a nap. I wonder why the teacher hasn't said anything.
"Ella! There are only 10 minutes left of class and yet you are too busy staring at Mr. Adams. Pay attention!"
"Sorry, Ms. Penny," I said quietly as I shuffle my feet and look down, I hate when teachers put me on the spot. Everyone's looking at me, I am too scared to lift my head up. When is this class going to end, I just want to go find my locker after class and finally go home.
The tiny paper that I was given from the short stubby old dean has had me at the edge of my seat all day. I hope my locker is near Ava's like last year so that I am not completely alone this year.

Finally, that damn bell decided to go off, the period is finally over!
Everyone's eagerly packing their things to leave this hell hole, but that kid is still asleep. Is no one gonna wake him up? How could he sleep through that loud bell, I wish I had that talent. Should I wake him up, or would that be weird? Maybe this could lead to us being friends or something?
"Why are you just standing there and staring at me? Is my beauty that overwhelming?"
Suddenly the dark brown haired boy is standing above me with a grin on his face. He puts his large hands on the desk and crouches down to my height. When did he wake up?
"Are you gonna say something or are you gonna continue to stare at me?"
His surprisingly deep voice shocks me, I wasn't expecting that from him. I finally pushed myself to mutter a simple "sorry" and walk back to my desk. Meeting new people has always been hard for me, especially when they are crazy good looking.
I almost forgot about my locker! I can't seem to find my little paper with my locker number on it, did I really lose it that quick? I finish packing my things and begin to search the room.
"Yes! I found it!" I say excitedly, I was scared I really lost it.

Isn't that by my calculus class? I sure hope so cause that class has such a big and heavy textbook. As I turn the corner I notice Ava putting books in her locker.
"Oh my gosh please tell me this is your locker" I basically beg her.
"Why else would I be standing here?" I've missed her sarcasm so much, makes me feel so much better about the lonely day I've had so far.
"I think my locker is at the end of the hall, I am so glad we are near each other again," I said smiling widely, I am so happy that I can at least see her on the daily.
"Girl me too, I've missed you so much! Well I've got to go, I have to pick up my brother from school and I'm already late" she says in a rushed voice. This girl loses track of time so easily.
"As always" I chuckle and yell out a bye as shes jogging to the main entrance.
When I finally reach my locker, I notice it is in an isolated area. I feel like barely anyone comes to this part of the school. Not only that but there's barely any other lockers around it! I disappointedly begin the put in the combo given by the school.

This seems pretty easy to remember, thank god they give me a simple one this year. When I open my locker I notice there are books in there? Maybe the student from last year left them in by accident. As I am taking them out I hear a familiar voice.
"You again?"
I turn around and see the dark-haired boy from earlier. Please don't tell me we are locker neighbors, I won't be able to handle the awkwardness.
"Why are you taking my books out of my locker?" he says in an annoyed way.
I look back at the locker confused. "This is my locker. The school assigned it to me, are you sure you have the right one?" I say as I point at the tiny paper.
"I am pretty sure I wouldn't confuse the locker I specifically asked for with another one." He begins searching his pockets, guys have such huge pockets and can carry literally everything in there. I wish.
"Look if you don't believe me, here's the proof." He says calmly while handing me his tiny paper. And when I look down at it, I realize he's actually not lying.

They were quite big and clear too. No mistake here. What the hell is gonna happen now?
