"Listen if this is your attempt at catching my attention, just know you've got it. Just leave my locker alone, and ill take you on a date sometime. Just quit playing these games already, it's annoying." The dark brown haired boy says in an obnoxious tone. How could someone be so narcissistic?
"I'm not playing any games with you, this is my locker!" I am taken back by my words since when was I so talkative. My eyes widen, if any of my friends witnessed this they would be in shock as well.
"Finally she speaks! I was starting to think you were mute!" he chuckled. I am not sure if I should take that as an insult or not.
"You don't have to be so mean! What do you even need a locker for, you sleep through your classes," I remarked. Like seriously, if you don't even pay attention in class, what's the point in having a locker full of books?
"Either way lets take this to the dean. He can decide who this locker really belongs to."
He laughs in response with a simple "sure". Hopefully, they let me keep it, I actually really like this locker. Although it's in an isolated area, it's by my calculus class and near Avas locker. What more can I ask for?
As we walk to the dean's office, I notice how much taller he is than me. This dude is a freakin giant! Like seriously, he's about 10 heads taller than me. Wait that's exaggerating, but still!
As we reach the notorious dean's room, I notice I've never been here before. I am quite frightened, what if he gets annoyed with us and gives us detention. Oh my gosh, I hope not.
As the dark brown haired boy opens the huge poorly painted green door, the strangely simple white walls and minimalist decorations shocked me. I don't know what I was expecting, but it sure as hell wasn't this.
"Mr. Adams, why are you here again? We might as well make this your official class since you love coming here so often," the dean teases. What is going on, they are on friendly terms with each other? There's no way I'm keeping that locker.
"As much as I love seeing you, I am actually here for a reason"
"You mistakenly gave us the same locker, please fix this and relocate her."
"Um you mean relocate him. I love this locker, please let me keep it!"I practically begged. The sleepy head snapped his head towards me and glared.
"No, I am keeping this locker. I specifically asked for it last year," he says in a threatening tone.
"Actually there are no more free lockers, I guess you guys will have to share it," he claims while grinning.
"What!" We gasp and look at each other at the same time in disbelief. There is no way in hell that I am going to share a locker with him!
"Well if that's all, you guys can leave," He says this while opening the door. I guess there's nothing else we can do.
We leave the room and begin to walk back to the locker. Why is this happening to me? I just want a peaceful school year, with nothing to do with this rude kid.
We finally reach the locker after a silent and awkward walk.
I break the silence by saying "I'm pretty sure you don't want to share a locker with someone like me. Please let me keep it and share with a friend or something"
"What's wrong with sharing a locker with me? I won't bother you. It's not like your worth my time anyways" he replies in a rude tone. What is wrong with him, who even is he anyway!
"Fine! We can share! You are so rude, you aren't worth my time either!" I snapped at him. I hate narcissistic people like him.
He does nothing but shrug in response. He then looks at his books which were causally stacked on the ground.
"Well, I got to go. Put my shit back in, since you took it out" he says as he begins to walk away from me.
"No need for such a potty mouth!" I yell back at him, of course, he ignores me.
I begin to organize 'our' locker. This week has been quite uneventful, up until now. Hopefully, this doesn't cause any issues from now on. I put a picture up of me and my older brother, I've missed him so much, ever since he left for college I've been so lonely at home. I then put up a mirror, I am pretty sure that sleepy head will appreciate it considering the fact that he's so obsessed with himself. Finally, I put up my favorite part, a pen/pencil holder. I am so excited to put all my cute highlighters and pens in here!
I feel like its wrong of me to personalize 'our' locker without asking him, but I have a feeling he is barely gonna use it. Hopefully, he doesn't notice.
Sadly, I have to take the bus home. I miss those days when my brother Alex would drive us home. I should really get a job and save up for a car.
.
.
The walk home from the bus stop felt longer than usual today. I reach my beautiful front door, the one I've been waiting to reach for the past 10 minutes. I am finally home.
I insert the keys, twist the knob and push. For some reason it's not opening, this can't be happening right now. I try again, it's not opening! I sit on the steps of my house exhausted. What am I gonna do!
I attempt to call my mom, and of course, she's not picking up. And I don't think she's coming home from work any time soon. This has got to be the worst day ever, I sigh loudly and put my head in my hands.
"Why are you just sitting there. You look like a creep" says the oddly familiar voice.
I lift my head up and see the last thing I wanted to see today. Sleepyhead locker buddy. Great.
