"So, tell me why were not with our parents again?" I say to my brothers as I fix my tie in the mirror.

"We are babysitted by our brother, our mother and father are out of town." they repeat to me.

I turn and look at them both smiling before shrugging my shoulders. "It still is pretty clunky but it'll work. Try to sound natural." I say before leaning down to mess their hair.

Were going out into town today, I've been preparing them for the usual questions they will get. Since we usually split up in the store to find different trinkets, many assume that Simon and Timothy are some wild kids running around without their parents.

My mother told me, before and maybe even a little while she was dying that.. I should never let anyone find out about us being orphans. Not even of us existing as far as a database goes, or else they would find out about our true nature.

I found out about a year later that my father, had gotten his hands on my mother's death certificate as well as all of our other files through some connection he had with a hacker he went to college with.. He had the files deleted. Since my mother had given birth at a local hospital.. She had to get everything on record.

So, no one technically knows our mother is dead.. Or alive so they can't put us in the system with absolute sureness. No one even really knows we exist.

Plus.. There is something that many people don't know about us as well..

We are "different"

No, we have abilities that no one can quite comprehend. For example, there are scientists that make cures for different things like illnesses.. Sam however can make an invisibility cloak that can cover our whole house just by thinking about it.. Which we put over it at night. However if he loses his focus and becomes preoccupied for just a second with something else.. We could be exposed.

He's hasn't quite perfected it yet, but he's working on it.

Timothy can withstand almost anything.. Even if you were to light him on fire he'd be untouched. He also has the ability to stay underwater for an unreasonable amount of time, at least according to these peoples standards.

Long story short, we are ablorist genists. Not your typical humans, although we are a close second to the real thing. Our genes are more extensive and our abilities, agility, and every else in us is heightened to the absolute max.

My mother told me a long time ago, that we were "special" but I thought she just meant by us having the strangest colors of eyes. But no, she meant that we had special abilities.

Abnormal abilities. That's the part she never mentioned. It all started when I was about 5 years old and sitting in my room, playing with my little building blocks. It was in the latest of nights I remember staying up as a child. Not a care in the world, then all of a sudden I closed my eyes thinking about things that made no sense.. Like a building blocks robot. Then I of course opened my eyes but the scene was completely different. No building blocks, at least not at first. Then I glanced to the right of my little blue bed and saw exactly what I thought of. My little robot moving throughout the little room I had in my room. At first I was scared but then I became curious, wondering what else I could make.

By morning, my mother and father came into my room to find many different things moving about such as trains riding up my walls on Infinite and winding train tracks that stretched for miles and boats that floated around on raging water in my empty toy boxes, and etc.

There in the middle of all the magic was me, and my mind that I was in the middle of exploring. I still remember the look on my mother's face when she looked at me, she didn't look the least bit surprised. However my father was absolutely fascinated, running over to me and picking me up asking me where I got all the new toys.

I smiled and pointed to my head.

My father was a regular human, who fell in love with my mother, even after he found out about her abilities. He loved her for just being her, even though there was a huge bounty out for us then as being genists.

That day, my mother decided it was time to have a long overdue talk with me. You see, even though I was at a very young age, my comprehension was at the level of a full grown man. I still remember how she explained it to me.

"You are different. We are different. " she said to me as she looked down at me from her recliner. I nodded and smiled widely. "I know mom, I can make anything using my head!" I would laugh. She would smile too and pat my head. "Yes, you are.. But you need to be careful." she said to me as she folded her arms in her lap. There are people out here who search for us, who don't like us very much. They want to test us, and find out how we can do the things we do. I nodded and took note of what she said.

As I got older and as my brothers were born, my mother and I taught them each how to use and keep hidden their abilities from others. We trained them to a T and made sure they knew ways to get out of risky situations of the ever presented themselves.

If anyone finds out about us.. We'll be tested.. And put into many research studies. Treated like animals for "The better of the people."

I look down and snap out of my worsening thoughts as I realize that Sam and Timothy are staring up at me. I then shake my head and sit down on the couch fixing my hair.

"No, let's go over it again. Get it right this time or we will not leave until you do." I say sternly as I look at them. They nod and repeat it over and over again to me.

I won't let anything happen to them, ever.
