Kaiji POV
(Later that Day ~ In the photography club room)
As I happily clean my camera lens, the door suddenly slams open. I look up and see Touya come in with a panic look in his face.
"Kaiji!" He calls out and locks eyes with me then walks directly towards me. "Did you not hear me when I told you to wait for me to introduce Rina to you yesterday??"
"Hahaha I heard loud and clear," I awkwardly laugh. "But how did you know I met with her?"
"I have class with her and during lunch, she told me that she met you in the morning," Touya explains. "How did you even meet her in the first place?"
"Hmm... There was a girl who was trying to pick a fight with Rina and from a distance, I could tell that Rina didn't want any part in it," I explain. "I couldn't just stand there and do nothing so I stepped in and stop the girl from hurting her."
"I see... but the chances though," Touya mumbles under his breath then sighs. "I guess it worked out though because Rina doesn't hate you. Sugawara, on the other hand... probably does."
"Why would he hate me?" I tilt my head confused. "I barely know him."
"That's true, but don't you notice anything between those two?" Touya questions.
"They're friends right?" I suggest and Touya looks at me, completely flabbergasted.
"Don't bother Touya. You should know this now since you're in the photography club but Kaiji is the happy go lucky guy that doesn't really think of anything but photography," Akiko says as she closes the journal she finished writing in for the day.
Touya facepalms himself. "Well that's good to know."
"Do you think Rina would join the photography if I were to convince her like I did with you?" I ask.
Touya scratches the back of his head. "I doubt it. It is true that she needs to take part in a club but I know that Rina doesn't really like getting involved with people."
"Why is that?" I ask.
Touya purses his lips. "Well I can't go into details but you saw what happened earlier this morning right? Her involvement might bring in problems like that if she were to join the photography club," Touya points out.
"I see if that's the case then I'll still invite her," I conclude with a smile. "I met Rina in person and she's a really nice person. Besides I don't want to be the one that turns away from someone just because of their circumstances but rather reach out and offer my hand to them."
"..." Touya's eyes widen, completely speechless by my words.
"So pure-hearted," Akiko chuckles with a gentle smile.
I fold my arms and rub my chin. "It's true that I didn't formally introduce myself the last time we met. So tomorrow, I'll meet with her again. Would that work Touya?"
Touya shrugs. "I mean why ask me? You're going to go anyways," Touya says with a laidback smile and I laugh.
"That's true," I grin. Why don't we all come over and invite her to the club?" I suggest.
Akiko's eyes widen. "I... I might not be able to come early in the morning," she hesitatingly says.
"How come?" I ask, surprised.
Akiko bites the bottom of her lip and Touya pulls on my collar. "It's okay. I'll be with you. Too many people and Rina might get wary about joining the club."
"Oh that's right," I nod my head in agreement and turn to Akiko. "Don't worry! Touya and I got this so just watch us." I declare.
"Of course," Akiko softly smiles.
