Ive done everything in my power to get tate back. To get him to talk to me. But he hasnt showed up.

I stood there in the basement.

"Tate?" I sighed annoyed. This was my hundredth time. "Please? Come on!" I said frustrated. There was no response. I stood there in the silence.

"Trouble maker that one is." A voice startled me. I turned around to see a man with dark hair. He held a wine glass. "Trust me darling your better off." He said raising an eyebrow. Instantly i could tell he was gay.

"Why do you say that?" I muttered. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Who the hell are you?"

"My names chad." He rose an eyebrow. "And i say that because everthing that boy does is trouble.." he said sipping his wine.

"Are you.." i trailed off.

"Dead ?" He asked cocking an eyebrow and tilting his head.
I nodded. "Yes, yes i am. Unfortunately."

"Oh.." i awkwardly trailed off.

"All thanks to that son of a bitch.." he spat.

"Tate?" I asked.

"Yeah. Thanks to him im stuck in this god forsaken house. With the rest of these crazy and sick people." He mumbled. "Even worse im stuck with patrick."

"Patrick?" I asked.

"Never mind him." He sighed sipping his wine somemore. "Why are you looking for tate anyway?" He asked.

"Because.." i trailed off unsure of what to say. "I miss him?"

"Well yourthe first." He sarcastically said.

"Do you know how i can find him?" I asked. "Like is there some kind of spell or some shit i could do to get him to come out?" I asked eagerly.

"Spell?" He chuckled.

"Im new to this paranormal shit ok?" I muttered.

"Whatever. The only way to get him to come out is to make him want to come out. Good luck trying to convince him though. Hes a stubborn bastard." He rolled his eyes. " i also recommend not standing in the basement like an idiot alone."

"Why?" I asked.

"Too much.." he sighed before meeting my eyes and smiling. "Bad omens?"

"Oh ok...?" I trailed off.

"Plus the rest of us arent appreciating you yelling at the top of your lungs every five minutes.." he sighed.

"Oh sorry." I mumbled. There was an awkward silent pause. "Well i guess ill go now?" I muttered unsure.

"Good thinking." He said raising an eyebrow as i retreated up stairs.

"Honey im home!" I heard my dad yell as i reached the top.

"Oh hey." I called back as he approached me. He looked at me just taking in my appearance, which was weird. I noticed his eyes were puffy , it looked like hed been crying. "Is everything ok?" I asked.

He gave me a weak smile.

"Yeah. It is." He said. "Your mom will be home soon. What do you want for dinner? I'll make anything you want."

I furrowed my brows.

"Uh pizzas fine?" I mumbled. I was taken back by how odd he was acting.

My mother came home soon. She didnt even acknowledge my exsistence which was the usual. We ate pizza then i returned to my room alone. I could hear my parents arguing in the room next door.

"We didnt plan for this!" My mother yelled.

"Keep your voice down!" My father firmly commanded her although it was no use, i could hear every word they were saying. "Shes our daughter Rose! I love her! I dont want to have this conversation again!" My father spatback at her.

"We cant afford her Richard." My mom said in a hushed tone. There was a silent pause. "I love her too. But i love you more. I love us more.  But we cant raise her. We arent stable enough. " she said. I felt tears build up in my eyes. She wasnt even trying.. "We can have more kids. When we can afford them.." she trailed off. My dad didnt respond.  "We arent even good parents richard. "

"Dont say that.." my father said in a saddened tone.

"Richard shes messed up. Shes got her grandfathers genes. How long till she goes crazy? How long until she tries to commit suicide again?" My mother said. Her words cutting me like a knife. I felt tears well up but i pushed them back as i continued to listen. "Thats just the cold hearted truth."

There was a long silent pause. No noise. No yelling. No arguing.

"How do we get rid of her..?" My dad asked in a defeated tone.

"Ill figure it out. Let me worry about it." My mom said. "Your making the right choice. Besides, its better then her suffering.." She said.

"We're making the right choice." His voice sounded sad as if he was rrying to convince himself that he was doing something right.

I felt my eyes widen in fear. Were they going to give me up? Or kill me?

"You ok?" A warm voice i longed to hear asked.

I spun around to see tate leaning against the wall in the corner of my room. I felt the tears pour out. I couldnt hold them back.

"No im not." I said shaking my head. He cane to me and craddled me in his arms.

"Im sorry Alice.." he said kissing me on the top of my head.

"Please dont leave me again tate." I whispered in between sobs. He didn't respond. I knew he wouldnt promise me that. He was the only thing i had yet i didnt completely have him. I was on my own. Still i savored this little time i had with him breathing in his scent. Because i knew he wouldnt be here tomorrow. Maybe i wouldnt either..
