Legolas had almost fallen asleep when Aragorn once more returned. When the door opened the sunlight stung Legolas eyes, and he slowly sat up. His hand covered his eyes until Aragorn closed the door.

"Did I wake you?" Aragorn asked nervously, afraid he did.

"No." Legolas lied and held himself up with one hand as he massaged his new awakened eyes with the other. He moved himself so he sat leaned against the wall, arms crossed over his still sore stomach. It still aced.

"Legolas..." Aragorn sighed and sat down on his own bed, leaning forward on his elbows.
"We need to talk about what would have happened if Gléomer hadn't interrupted us before."

"Let us not talk about it Aragorn." Legolas said and slowly sat up to lean forward like Aragorn, his elbows against his knees, his whole expression nervous. What if Aragorn really did not feel the same? What if he just missed Arwén? Many thoughts went through his mind, but they were all just excuses he realised.

"Let's just do what we would have done if Gléomer hadn't interrupted us."

Aragorn looked at Legolas, trying to see if he was joking or not. Surely Legolas didn't mean that, considering the consecvenses.

Immediately Legolas felt nervous and unnoticed began to fiddle with his skirt. Would this be the time Aragorn rejected him?
"Don't you want to?" He asked, suddenly feeling the panic rise. What if he had just imagined it all?

Aragorn looked at him for a moment, express less, before he rose to sit on Legolas bed. Legolas looked at the man who sat down beside him and swallowed nervously. He immediately felt his heartbeat speed up, like it always did when Aragorn got too close.

The man looked into his eyes for a moment, until he slowly rose a hand to feel the soft skin of Legolas cheek with his fingertips. Legolas tried to breathe deeply as he looked at the man in front of him, so he wouldn't pass out. He felt like he would pass out.

The air around them was so fragile they were afraid that talking would break it.

Aragorn lay his palm flat against Legolas cheek and his index finger along his ear. His thumb lay against Legolas lower lip as he cupped his cheek gently. The warm skin filled his palm and he felt the butterflies in his stomach he never felt around Arwén anymore.

He looked at his thumb laying against Legolas lower lip, and felt a desire to kiss them. He wanted to so badly, but knew it would change everything. He knew he shouldn't cheat on Arwén, but he couldn't break up with her when he was away and it would take too long to go back now. 'She'll never know if I kiss Legolas now..." He thought and looked into his blue eyes again.

Legolas was getting impatient and nervous when Aragorn did not do anything. It looked like he had a fight with himself, making him doubt. And when he doubted, so did Legolas.

"Aragorn..I don't forge you to." He said softly and felt the hand disappeared from his cheek. He immediately missed the contact and saw Aragorn immediately regretted the action.

The man instead grabbed Legolas both hands in his, holding his bigger hands around the slightly smaller ones protectively. He looked down at their hands, before he looked up at Legolas through his eyelashes.

"Legolas, you have no idea how much I would love to kiss you right now." He whispered honestly and bit his lip nervously, but accidentally hot.
