"Ryan Young" I heard my name being called out through the auditorium speakers, family and friends clapped and screamed as I made my way up to the stage to get my diploma, I shook my principal's hand and waved at the camera my dad was holding. "It's over" I thought, I'm finally done high school.
Time for a new start...A new beginning.
A year later
"Girl, put your back into it" said Aaliyah.
Aaliyah is my best friend, she's been through everything with me, she's helped me through a lot and at this moment she's helping move my stuff into our new dorm.
"Bitch, I'm trying, this shit is heavy" I said out of breath "This your stuff, I don't know who told you to pack your entire life" Aaliyah said with her signature sass
It's been a year since we've graduated from high school, and I can tell you that it's been a tough journey. Deciding on what school to go to, wether we wanted to be close to family and the rest of our friends. Luckily we decided on a school that was beneficial for the both of us and some of our other friends. We all decided on NYU and a few months after we decided, we packed our bags and headed to the city.
"Ouuu it's looking real fancy in here" I heard a familiar voice behind me.
I turned around to see my very good friends Bria, Justine & Deanna standing at the doorway, in awe of our dorm.
"You like?" I said doing a little twirl.
"I like? I love, lemme crash here for the night" said Bria as she laid on Aaliyah's bed.
"Nuhuh hoe get off my sheets" Aaliyah said hitting Bria with a pillow
We've all been really close friends since high school, we vowed to stay together forever, and it seems we have.
"Okay thot, I'm off quit hitting me! Anyway, some vet on campus invited us to some frat party tonight, we should go." said Bria.
"YAAS, I'm down. I've been waiting to get turnt with you guys ever since we got here, ready to twerk my ass off." Aaliyah exclaimed as she started dancing with Bria.

"Y'all some fools, but yeah whatever I'm down as long as everyone Is going" declared Deanna. Justine nodded, indicating that she agreed with D's statement.
"Then it's settled, we're going out tonight bitches!!!!" screamed Bria
"lord I hope this goes well" I thought to myself, only way of really knowing how this will turn out is if I let loose and not be a buzzkill this time...
With it being a new chapter in life, comes new positive attitude and for that I will have the best time with my girls and have a drink, to new beginnings
