Recurring Nightmare

Ryan POV  (before the gunshots) 

"NYPD has discovered a young woman's body found near Brecon Hotel last night" said the CNN anchor. 

"shit!" screamed Q, which made me jump in absolute fright. 

"what's the matter" I said barely above a whisper, I had practically lost my voice from all the screaming I had done trying to get someone to hear me. But by the 10th strike to the face I decided to give up. 

"I killed her, and now they found her body...we gotta get out of here, just you and me...we can be together Ry, have another baby" he crept closer to me touching my bruised cheek. 

"I- I'm not going anywhere with you" I managed to yell out. "and I'm definitely not carrying your child for a second time!" 

"We gon see about that" he responded. 

he began taking the rope that was tying my body to the chair off. 

"Wh- whatre you doing??" I asked, he had the same look he had in his eyes that night at the club. 

"shut up" he said. 

once the rope was loose he picked me up and threw me on some disgusting mattress, all I could do was scream, kick and punch. He was ripping at my clothes...I proceeded to fight back I looked over to my right  and saw a lamp on the floor right beside the mattress. I grabbed it and hit him over the head. 

It took me a minute to rack up what just happened, how I had almost been raped or maybe even killed. 

I snapped out of it when I saw one of his guns across the room, I got up to go get it and then I felt someone pull at my ankle. 

"Really Ryan? you gon do me like that?" he said in a raspy tone. 

there was absolutely no soul in him. 

I kicked him again and crawled to the gun and I felt him right behind me. but I got it before him. 

(seconds before the police were notified about gunfire) 

"Move the fuck back Quavious!" I yelled. 

"you ain't gon shoot me baby" he said with an evil smirk on his face. 

"yes I will, don't come near me" tears were streaming down my face. 

He charged at me and with panic I just pulled the trigger, got up and ran not looking back. 

I ran up a flight of steps and was blinded by natural light. I had no clue where I was going and it felt like I had been running through a maze for a very long time...

Then I finally saw a door. Reached for it. 

"I told you, you ain't going nowhere" Q said. 

I lost all hope when I felt the gun on my temple...

Present Omniscient

Det. Ealy and the NYPD were parked up in front of the house that La'Tonya told him about. 

"Where is the counter-sniper I asked for?" asked det. Ealy 

"she is already positioned sir, she has eyes on the suspect and the victim" said a police officer. 

" So do we" responded Ealy. 

He pointed at the living room window of the trap house. Quavious held Ryan at gun point. 

Ealy was handed a megaphone. 

"Quavious, I suggest you put down your weapon and give miss Young to us" 

"I ain't doing shit, what y'all mother fuckers need to do is let me and my girl live our life" Quavious yelled out from the window. 

"She isn't your girl Quavious, you are scaring her...Look at the fear in her eyes, just let her go and we can talk this out" 

"If I can't have her nobody will" 

All that was heard after that statement was another gunshot and screams, Ryan's screams. 

The police ran into the house and got her. and paramedics handled Q.

Ryan POV

"Ryan! Ryan wake up!" I heard my mom shout. 

"are you okay baby? you were screaming a lot" she asked. 

"I- I'm fine, where am I? where's Quincy? and Daddy? and-" 

"Calm down, everyone is in the waiting room, you're at the hospital, doctors just wanted to keep a close eye before you went back home. you're safe here okay? Quavious was admitted to another hospital and is being watched attentively and will be transported to jail in the morning where he will never come out and that girl is already behind bars. I know you've been through so much and it pains me to see you like this" my mom began to cry "I'm sorry that I wasn't there baby.." 

I realized I was crying too. 

"It's okay mommy, I'm okay. I love you so much" 

"I love you too pumkin, I will let you rest. if you need anything just push this button...we're all outside okay?" 

"Mom? can I see Quincy?" I asked. 

"sure baby" 

with that she left and less than a minute after, Quincy walked in. he looked like he hadn't slept in years. 

"hey you" I said. 

he walked up to me and held my face, tears falling from his eyes.

"come lay with me" I moved over in the hospital bed. 

He laid beside me and i put my head on his chest. 

"Ry, I'm so sorry" he said barely above a whisper

"shhh, this wasn't your fault, it was nobodies fault. okay? I love you with every bone in my body and I know you love me just as much" 

"why did he do this to you??" he looked into my eyes with so much hurt and anger.

" I don't know but I'm okay, I'm alive and I'm with you..That's all that matters" 

I kissed his lips and closed my eyes. 

Quincy POV 

"leave me alone, stop, get off of me!" Ryan was twisting and turning in my arms, tears falling from her eyes that were closed shut. 

"Ryan baby, It's me, It's me, Ry wake up" I slightly shook her so she could wake up. 

Everyone came into the room. 

"what's going on?" asked her dad. 

"Ryan keeps having recurring nightmares, she did it when I was in the room with her before" declared her mom 

"Ryan baby wake up, it's daddy" 

Ryan jumped up from her sleep, in complete fear. then she broke down into her father's arms. 

To witness that sent chills down everyone in the room's spine...
