Chapter 6:

Suder's body was on the ground and he was on his back with his parachute open. He didnt seem to be alive, but he pulled his parachute. We all walked over and Molly leaned over him and put her ear to his heart.

"He's breathing," she said. She stood up and looked down at him.

"We need to get moving," Nick said.

"What are we going to do with him?" I said to Nick. He contemplated on this for a moment.

"We will bring him along until he comes to," Nick replied sounding confident. I didn't think this was going to work but I agreed. We walked over the bottom of the mountain where the helicopter crashed and we scavenged some supplies and a few backpacks and we were off. We took turns for who carried Suder. Nick was first.

The landscape was desolate with burnt poles that must've been trees and houses that had been burned to a crisp. They used to be villages. I just knew that the beasts had already been here and they were not very kind to the people who had lived in these villages. I was dark, but there was some light from the fires still ignited.

We had been walking for a few minutes when we heard an explosion. Molly and I took out our guns and pointed them in the direction of the explosion. That was when my bite started stinging like fire itself was all over my shin. I screamed and Molly and Nick looked over at me. It was searing pain and I couldn't stop it.

"What is it?" said Molly in a loud panicky voice. I looked up at her and she seemed scared. She was looking into my eyes. I wanted to kill her. I had a feeling of rage, of anger. I wanted her dead and I dint know why. My vision turned red and I couldn't think. I ran towards her on my hands and knees and was on top of her and she had her arm up to protect herself from the bite. Then I blacked out.

Chapter 7:

I woke up and there was a bonfire in front of me. Molly was asleep on my right and Nick was on my left looking out into the distance. I looked at Molly and saw her arm. It was wrapped in doctors tape. Did I do this to her? I stood up slowly and walked over to Nick and sat beside him.

"You but her arm pretty badly," he said "she probably could've lost it if she hadn't knocked you out." He said this with a sad tone.

"I didn't know what happened, I just had the urge to kill her. My bite started to sting and then I turned into the animal that tried to kill Molly. It wasn't my choice." I said to Nick trying to explain.

"Let's just go to sleep and see what tomorrow brings," Nick said, "Good night." I layer my head down on the hard ground and dozed off.
