Cullen and his troops had been keeping the demons for what seemed like days when the first group of troops arrived at the camp. They were exhausted but he saw the wonder in their eyes as they trudged into camp.
"I've never seen anything like it. The way she took down those demons with such ease was something not of this world. It's like Andraste sent her to us."
"Are you kidding me? I think she's a witch!"
They finally reached Cullen and stood at attention when they saw him.
"Soldier, report." he said with wonder in his voice.
"Sir," the first soldier stepped forward "we were sent up here by Seeker Pentaghast. She came through with the apostate elf, that dwarf, and a woman. They helped us take out a wave of demons and then the woman closed the rift"
What is she up to? Cullen thought. This woman can close the rifts we came across?
"Take a rest, soldiers. You have definitely deserved it."
The soldiers walked away, towards the fire in the center of the camp.
More and more of Cullen's soldiers came into the camp, a little at a time. It seemed like all the troops he had left behind the secure the rifts had returned. When the last group came through, a soldier walked up to him and handed him a rolled parchment. He took it and walked into his tent. He unrolled it and read what it said.
Commander,
We interrogated the prisoner and she didn't know how or why the Breach has occurred or what happened to the Divine. Solas has an idea that he wants to experiment with regarding the prisoner and the rifts that we came across. Solas, Varric and myself are escorting the prisoner to the Breach to test Solas's theory. Remain at the forward camp and keep the demons at bay while we do this. Pray Solas is right and everything will be taken care of soon.
Maker's Blessing,
Lady Cassandra
"What could Solas know about this?" he said to himself. "I hope she knows what she is doing."

Hours passed and there seemed to be a reprieve from the demons. It was almost like they were anticipating the outcome of Solas's experiment too. Cullen and Jhaxon were in his tent discussing what the blast of light they had seen hours earlier and the rumors they had heard from the troops.
"What do you make of this woman?" Jhaxon asked.
"I'm not sure. It seems very suspicious how they came to find her in the temple. Who was the woman behind her when she fell from the rift? Some of them are saying that it was Andraste herself that sent her through to save us from these demons. And now she can close those rifts? How is that possible?" Cullen replied.
Nothing was making sense. He was interested to find out more from Cassandra and Solas.
Then the flap of the tent was pulled back and a messenger entered.
"Well what is it?" Cullen demanded
"The Seeker wanted me to tell you that the experiment worked. You can all return to Haven." he said before bowing and leaving the tent.
"Well, that was strange," Jhaxon said, raising an eyebrow.
"Let's get back. This is one story I can't wait to hear." Cullen said standing up and exiting the tent.

Cullen and his troops arrived back at Haven as night came over the village. They hadn't seen a single demon on the way back, much to their relief. He told his soldiers to go to their tents, get some rest and take the next day off. Maker knows they have earned it, he thought.
