Seokjin tensed. He was the only one in their group of six that knew of how Jungkook perceived the world. And he also knew what "black" meant.

Not knowing what Jungkook meant, Jimin narrowed his eyes disapprovingly. "That's a little racist, don't you think Jungkook?" Seokjin shot Jimin a glare that if looks could kill, Jimin would be dead ten times over.

Seokjin huddled close to Jungkook. "Did he start off black?"

The younger shook his head. "How about his voice? Can you see it?"

Again, another shake of the head from the younger made Seokjin sigh. Taehyung, confused by the conversation, followed their line of sight. "Oh, that's Yoongi-hyung! He's new; today's his first day. He doesn't talk though."

Hoseok tilted his head. "Doesn't talk? What do you mean?"

Taehyung shrugged. "I mean exactly what I said, hyung. According to the teacher, he's mute. He hasn't talked for the past...four years? Or was it five? I don't remember..."

Hoseok narrowed his eyes. "He's new, can't talk, and already pestered by those idiots."

Jimin wore a similar expression. "I'm getting real tired of them. What makes them think it's okay to bully innocent people like that?"

Jimin stood abruptly. "I'm going to stop them."

Hoseok stood, silently agreeing to go along.

The three remained silent, watching the exchange.

Hoseok and Jimin both immediately began berating the other trio. Five auras blaring and blinking were nearly blinding Jungkook and sending off warning signals, but the black from the silent seemed to be drowning out that light, sucking it away, and causing an alarm like a tsunami's to pound in his head. Over and over the sound alarmed, long and loud enough to where it was giving the boy a migraine.

Soon enough, though, the six split from each other. The bad trio stomped off, probably to torture someone else, while Jungkook's hyungs turned to Yoongi.

All of their auras had calmed down, even Yoongi returned to the soft, pleasing grey. But that black abyss was still etched into Jungkook's brain.

Yet Jungkook still watched. The three had a one sided conversation, where Yoongi only appeared to nod or shake his head in response. Soon, after some hesitation, Yoongi grabbed his things and stood, and the three made their way back.

Jimin and Hoseok all returned to their normal seats, while Yoongi stood there quite awkwardly, holding his things tightly. Jimin patted the seat next to him, which also happened to be right next to Jungkook. "Sit here, hyung."

Yoongi hesitated once more, before carefully setting down his things and edging into his seat. Jungkook was tense to no end; he could've been mistaken for a statue at this point.

Jimin smiled warmly. "Guys, this is Yoongi hyung. He transferred here today."

Seokjin, noticing Jungkook's demeanor, smiled at Yoongi trying to warm up the solid wall of ice forming between the two. "So, Yoongi, hopefully you like the school so far. We kinda saw your encounter with those guys; we hope that didn't ruin your outlook on the school."

Yoongi shook his head, not making eye contact and nibbling on the sandwich in his hand. Hoseok asked, "Hyung, can I see your timetables? I can see if any of us have classes with you or not."

The older brought out a folded paper from his pocket and handed it to Hoseok. His eyes quickly scanned over the small paper. A small smile tugs at the corners of his lips and he asks, "Jungkook, what do you have next period?"

The younger, after a moment of silence, manages to get out, "M-Music production."

Hoseok beamed. "You have that class with Yoongi-hyung. And, it starts in like ten minutes. You don't mind showing hyung to the class, right?"

Jungkook gulped and Seokjin looked at him worriedly. "U-Uh, yes. We should actually h-head there now..."

Yoongi glanced at the stuttering Jungkook curiously, the grey turning into an off-white, kind of like the pages of a book. Jungkook took this as Yoongi trying to figure him out; read him. But Jungkook wasn't having any of it. Yoongi had turned black; black is bad.

The two stood, Jungkook a little more stiffly than he meant. He wasn't letting his guard down around Yoongi at all, and it made the older quite confused. He hadn't done anything wrong, had he?

Jungkook bid his friends goodbye, and made sure his quiet hyung was still following. The elder's color still hadn't changed from the off-white, notifying Jungkook of his still lingering curiosity.
