{Possible trigger warning}

The day before the rough draft of the song was due, Jungkook and Yoongi sat in Jungkook's room, working harder than they had before. Even though this was a rough draft, they wanted to make it as perfect as possible on the first try so they wouldn't need to work as hard the next two weeks.

They listened to their song over and over. Each time they heard a wrong note, or a chord that didn't seem to right, they stopped the song, made an adjustment, and started the whole thing over again.

Every once in a while, Jungkook would look over, admiring his hyung. The cute little scrunch of his nose every time he heard something he didn't like. His little lip bite and scrunched eyebrows every time he tried to think of a way to fix it. And the look of pure euphoria every time his fix fell into place. And the way it cycled over and over again.

Little did he know that Yoongi did the exact same thing. He cooed at the way Jungkook pouted when a chord didn't fall into place. He thought it was adorable when the younger crossed his arms against his chest, and chewed lightly on the cap of the pen when thinking of a solution. And he loved the way that Jungkook's eyes sparkled, suddenly brightened and widened when he fixed the mistake. He loved that little wiggle Jungkook did when he was happy or got excited. Just the way this muscled, masculine looking person acted like the most adorable child when something did or didn't go his way made Yoongi happy.

It was while they were playing the music that they didn't hear a car pull into the driveway, or the car door slam shut. They didn't even hear the front door nearly break off its hinges.

It was only when Jungkook felt the floor shake from pounding footsteps ascending the stairs that he knew.

Without warning, Jungkook practically picked Yoongi up and threw him in the closet. His aura blinked from a shocked white and a stormy grey. The look on Yoongi's face clearly read: 'what the hell is this?'

Jungkook's voice shook as he whispered, "P-Please don't make a sound hyung. I'm begging you. Don't move from here until I say."

With no confirmation, Jungkook quietly shut the closet and sat back down in his chair, and pretended to listen to the music.

Within seconds of him sitting down, his door swung open, the door knob smashing the wall and creating a dent.

Black seeped into the room as Jungkook's furious father marched in. "Where is he?" His voice was dark, deep, and filled to the brim with rage. It was obvious that he was livid.

Before Jungkook could even mutter out a single word, a fistful of his hair was pulled taught, forcing him to make direct eye contact with his father. "Don't you dare lie to me."

Jungkook's pitiful, broken voice choked out, "I-I don't know."

The echoes of a sharp slap rang in Yoongi's ears. "You don't know?" Jungkook's father's voice was nearly a whisper. It sent shiver down both boy's spines.

"I-I don't-"

His father's fist against his jaw interrupted him. Without meaning to, Jungkook let a mixture of saliva and blood run down his chin.

"You mean to tell me," Slap, "that a stranger," Slap, "is walking around my house?!"

He picked Jungkook up by the hair, then proceeded to throw him back down onto the wooden floors.

"I hope your friend comes back here and sees you like this. I hope they know this is what you will do to them."

After every word, his father's foot connected to somewhere on his body. His stomach, his legs his head, anything.

Slowly but surely, the black started to devour the room. He couldn't practically see anything; just shady silhouettes of what they used to be.

Out of nowhere, an unfamiliar, black voice yelled, "Hey!"

The voice was deep, deeper than his father's, and gravelly from not being used. Jungkook's eyes widened in shock when Yoongi threw open the closet door, and began to engage his father.

They screamed at each other back and forth, the occasional fist being thrown, and even a leg.

Quicker now, Jungkook's vision was being overcome by black until only Yoongi and his father's figures were barely made out. But the angrier the two became, the more they faded, and the more the black overcame, until everything was dark.
