Yoongi and the rest of Jungkook's friends were surprised when Jungkook walked into the cafeteria with a bruised cheek. Seokjin, who was sat next to Yoongi, held a face of concern. But the heat that seemed to radiate off of him made Yoongi think he was covering some much deeper emotions.

Jungkook plumped down into the seat between Yoongi and Taehyung. Taehyung gently touched the younger's bruise, making him flinch. "Kookie, what happened?"

He didn't meet anyone's gaze when he answered, "I tripped, and hit my face on the corner of the desk in my room."

Seokjin asked calmly. "Are you sure that's what happened?"

Jungkook met Seokjin's eyes and they looked as though they were having a telepathic conversation. Yoongi looked at them in curiosity until Jungkook answered again, "Yes, I'm positive Jin hyung."

Sighing, Seokjin looked at Jungkook's lack of food in front of him and stood. "Jungkookie, c'mon. Let's get you some food, hm?"

The two boys stood and walked off, leaving the other five behind.

Taehyung pouted at the two disappearing figures. Yoongi gave him a questionable look. He sighed. "Sometimes, Kookie comes to school with bruises. He always has some dumb excuse for it. There's no way you can get a bruise like that from the corner of a table, right? He thinks we're dumb..."

Hoseok placed a hand on his shoulder. "No, Tae, he doesn't think we're dumb. He just... Doesn't want us involved? I'm not sure how else to say it."

The boy raised his voice. "I've been his best friend since we were six! I've tried so damn hard to help him! But every time he just changes the topic..."

Hearing his voice slowly trail off at the end made Yoongi's heart tear just a little bit. He knew exactly what Tae was feeling; it'd happened to him before. At least Taehyung has been trying to do something, unlike he had.
