Y/N and Lucy drove down a dirt road in silence, the sounds of Lucy's playlist pouring out of the speakers. They'd been on the road for about five minutes, and were now coming up on their destination.

"A warehouse?" Lucy said as Y/N put the car in park.

"A sound proof one. It's where everyone learned to shoot a gun. Including myself," Y/N replied while getting out of the car. Lucy followed suit and the two girls walked towards the warehouse.

Y/N stuck a key into the lock, unlocking the door and leading Lucy inside. Once inside they were greeted by an open warehouse, with various targets on one side, and a few couches in the corner of the opposite side. Y/N lead Lucy to the couches, sitting down and having Lucy sit beside her.

"First thing is first - safety. Always have your safety on unless you're ready to shoot," Y/N demonstrated this by taking the gun from her waistband and pointing towards the safety button. "Now, to load you simply press this button, which releases the cartridge, and place a new one in or you stick new bullets in. I'll show you that later." The taller girl then stood up. "Now, let's practice shooting."

The two girls walked over to a table, and Y/N stood out beside it. "You'll usually want to stand like this when shooting." Y/N then proceeded to show the girl her stance. "You may not be able to, but it's the best case scenario. Now for shooting you want to squeeze the trigger, not pull it." Y/N then squeezed the trigger, causing the gun to fire and the bullet to hit the human shaped target right in the chest.

"That was fucking loud," Lucy said while rubbing her ear.

"Sorry, you'll have to get used to it. Now come here," Y/N said while gesturing for Lucy to stand beside her. She handed the smaller girl the gun, and went behind her to put her into the proper stance. "Good, now aim and gently squeeze the trigger. Hold the gun tightly so you don't get knocked in the face by it. I don't need another bloody nose like Camila," this caused Lucy to laugh and Y/N smiled, grateful the girl was somewhat okay.

"Like this?" Lucy questioned quietly.

Y/N nodded, squeezing the girl's hips and speaking. "Now shoot it."

Lucy pulled the trigger, and she slightly fell back, but Y/N had stayed behind her, catching the girl so nothing happened. When the two looked at the target Lucy had hit it square in the shoulder.

"Good, now a stronger stance, and move the gun slightly to the left. I notice you're letting it drift a little to the right."

Lucy nodded and proceeded to shoot the gun again, the bullet hitting close towards the intended target.

"Nice!" Y/N exclaimed as she watched the bullet. "You're doing great Lucy."

"You think I'll ever have to use this?" Lucy questioned.

Y/N simply shrugged at this. "I have, and it was awful, but it really comes down to your life or theirs."

"You think I'll be okay?"

"I think you'll be fine, Lucy."

The two girls continued shooting for about half an hour before Y/N decided it was time for them to head home.

The car ride was mostly silent, but halfway through Y/N decided to speak. "I'm sorry, Lucy."

Lucy looked at the girl with a questioning look. "For what?"

"Everything," Y/N said. "I know you don't want this, no one does. I'm sorry you don't have a choice. But I'm going to promise what I've promised everyone else. I will do everything in my power to make sure nothing happens to you. I'm also sorry you have to date me," Y/N lifted one hand to make quotation marks around the word "date".

"It's not your fault..." Lucy said. "But it's okay. I feel slightly better with all of you guys by my side, even though I hardly know you all," Lucy paused for a moment, looking Y/N up and down for a minute before continuing. "And maybe the whole dating thing won't be too bad."

Y/N rolled her eyes at this, but laughed nonetheless. "Yeah, maybe it won't be too bad."

They soon arrived back at the apartment, and saw the delivery person making their way up the stairs. "Just in time, the vultures haven't had time to eat everything," Y/N said jokingly as they got out of the car.

The two walked up the stairs slowly, the delivery boy walking back down past them, eyeing his generous tip with excited eyes. Lucy giggled at the boy, causing his face to heat up as he walked even faster down the stairs, shoving the money into his pocket.

"We're back!" Y/N exclaimed as they walked through the door. "Lucy has excellent aim, better than Chris."

"Oh, fuck off. I almost shot the light one time," Chris said with a groan as he got a drink from the fridge.

Y/N laughed at him before walking towards the fridge, grabbing herself a drink before asking what Lucy wanted.

Once she'd gotten their drinks she sat down at the table, in between Lucy and Alycia. Camila placed all the food down in the middle as well as a stack of plates, some chopsticks and a few forks. Everyone quickly filled their plates with food, but Y/N stopped them before they could eat.

"I'd like to propose a toast," she started. "For our newest family member. Life is hell, but you've got all of us, that's a promise."

"To Lucy!" Austin exclaimed, holding up his drink.

"To Lucy!" Everyone else said, raising up their drinks.

As Lucy looked around she realized this was her new family. Maybe it wasn't conventional, or safe for that matter, but it was hers. Strangely enough she didn't mind it. Something about the people around the table was comforting, and she barely knew them.

Pretty soon the chapters will be full of Lauren, I just have to get all the gang stuff rolling.
