Y/N never knew what to expect when there was a meeting with her father.

It could be the greatest news in the world. It could be the worst. It could be a meeting about the most trivial thing in the world. She never knew.

"Hey, babe," Y/N heard someone say as she was putting her books away into her locker, breaking her from her thoughts. Y/N turned her head, and smiled when she saw Lucy approaching her.

"Hi," Y/N said before quickly shutting her locker and wrapping an arm around Lucy's shoulders. "Are you ready? Alycia and Chris are riding with us and I said we'd wait on them in the courtyard."

"Ready whenever you are." Lucy said with a small smile.

The taller girl simply nodded, and the two began making their way through the halls and towards the courtyard. "How was your day?" Y/N said as they continued to walk.

Lucy simply shrugged. "It was boring, but what's new. How was yours?"

"Same, except I can't stop thinking about the meeting tonight." Y/N revealed.

"Do you think it's about something important?"

Y/N shrugged. "You never really know when it comes to my father. It could be really important, or it could just be about something as simple as him talking about his day."

"Will Dua be there? Like, does your father know about her yet?" Lucy questioned.

"He knows...it might be about her actually. She'll be there." Y/N confirmed.

Just as Y/N finished speaking Chris and Alycia walked up. "You ready for the meeting, mate?" Alycia asked in her Australian accent, to which Y/N simply shrugged.

"Born ready, I guess. Let's go, though. Everyone else is already on their way," Y/N replied, causing the other three Cobras to simply nod before following Y/N to her car.

The drive to her apartment was relatively silent, the only noise being the occasional bicker between Chris and Alycia from the backseat.

Once the four arrived at Y/N's apartment, they all got out of the car. Y/N sighed deeply before she began walking up the stairs of her apartment, noticed her father's car sitting in the parking lot, along with a car she's never seen.

She opened the door of her apartment to reveal all the Cobra's sitting there, along with her father and another guy around her age.

"Y/N, you're finally home! Allow me to introduce you to my friend, Shawn Mendes." Her father said while gesturing to the guy beside him. "He's rather fond of art, so I bought him a tattoo gun and now he's here. I do believe it's time you're branded."

"Branded?" Y/N said incredulously.

Jay laughed before lifting his shirt up to reveal the huge cobra tattoo running along the left side of his rib cage. He put his shirt down and began to speak again. "Every true Cobra has one. Don't try and argue with me on this one, my dear. Oh, and guys," He then addressed the rest of the group, who all had wide eyes at the prospect of their leader's new tattoo. "Be nice to Shawn here, you'll be seeing a lot more of him." And with that Jay was out the door, but not before dropping $1000 on the counter. The only real bright side to the whole being in a drug cartel thing.

"I'm sorry about this," Shawn said quietly as he set his tattoo equipment up. "Your dad kinda threatened me.."

Y/N shrugged at the boy. "It's fine."

"It's fine?" Alycia said while standing up and walking towards Y/N. "The rib cage is, like, one of the most painful places to get a tattoo."
