chapter 13

Dylan's POV

So, that's what she meant by a date with mischief  I thought to myself as Mason just stared as they walked out as I burst out laughing. He seemed dumbfounded so I finally said "Dude, she just gave you her number, and you weren't even going to call!" And he just chuckled and said "I guess you're right... but I gotta say, she definitely made me work for it". I just laughed and said "I'd say, I've had Serifina's number for a while and you're just getting hers, your falling behind man" to which he said "oh ya? At least I haven't been openly friendzoned" to which I just rolled my eyes and said "I'm working on that, besides, I still think they both like me more, you have got to lighten up". Mason just sighed and said "maybe I should, but not until after we take care of the witch" And I said "agreed"

Serifina's POV

As we got outside we both burst out laughing as I said "did you see his face!?" And she said "I know, I know, I'm a genius". To which I laughed and said "And an evil one at that" as we laughed some more and got into her truck. "OK, so what are you going to do if he calls you?" To which Airi replied "Probably mess with him some more, it's kinda fun to torture him" And I just chuckled and shook my head, before staring out the window for the ride home. We pulled up to my house and Airi said "hey, I'm still a little drained from last night, so I'm probably just going to go home and go to bed, we'll talk later, ok?"  And I said "works for me, I was kinda thinking about going out tonight anyway, if you catch my meaning" to which she said "Fina, I know you've been needing to stretch your wings, but you've gotta wait till after the hunters are gone, it's not safe" to which I said "Airibella, you know the changing of the seasons is when they start bugging me, I'll be fine" to which she said "No, you won't, promise me you won't go out tonight" to which I just shook my head and said "whatever, I'll talk to you later" And got out and went inside. I watched from inside as she looked at the door for a minute and shook her head before pulling forward and going to her house.
After she left I went upstairs to my room and took my sweatshirt off and let my wings appear and sighed as I stretched them out and stretched my arms. I looked in the mirror and smiled as I looked at my wings and how I look every time I let them out with my hair down and my long flowy waves falling down to the middle of my back curling at the ends  and the small design that appears at the end of my eyes that bring out the blue  with the design and colors.

Not to mention the flower crown that always appears  with my fairy outfit, luckily I can make the clothes go back to normal after the first few seconds and I can pull my hair up and get rid of the crown. Airi's only seen my wings a few times when needed, the first time was by accident when she came into my room unexpectedly when I was looking at them a year after we met, luckily by then we both already knew what each others was so it wasn't a huge surprise. I try to keep them hidden most of the time but I do need to stretch them out occasionally or they get cramped. So, I walked around my room for a bit before finally saying to myself " I know she doesn't believe I can handle myself, but I can protect myself just fine, and if I can't go out side soon I'm going to loose my mind " I checked to see it was already dark out before I opened my window and climbed to the other side of the tree and jumped off and flew to my personal spot with my tree and flowers. As I landed I saw the tree had finished the other side so I touched it and stopped the growth. I then flew around for a little bit before returning to my spot and putting my wings away so I looked normal and I pulled my hair up before sitting on my side and leaning back on the tree and taking a deep breathe and relaxing. I don't know how long at sat there before I heard my phone buzzed.
