Chapter 18-Illusion

Short chapter since I wanted to have Adan have a critical moment and every character you don't recognize actually was in the first book

*Adan's P.O.V*

As the chopper goes down I feel the katana blade fall with me down. The entire world loses its color and my eyes shut it all out.

I slowly open my eyes and feel the greetings ache in my back. I look around with my eyes careful to not move or say a word. I'm on a branch on a tree which the katana in my body is loosely hanging out.

I slowly raise my hand with what little will I have left and take the katana out. Screams escape me as so much blood spills out causing me to fall down and hit the floor hard.

The skies above is dark and I feel faint rain hitting as it gets more heavy. I slowly get up and grab on the nearest tree with my bloody hands and make my way into a exposed hole in the bark.

I sit down and look how deep the wound is...clean through. I lean my head back and clench my fist knowing some of the people who I trusted ended up betraying me...guess that's why Nate took himself out and wanted to be remembered as a hero.

I hear the faint drop of blood escaping my back as I grab a handful of mud and cover the holes in my body. I stab the katana in the ground and fall to my side.

"So that's it huh?" I hear her voice calling.

"W-wha-?" I open my eyes wide and see her. Her dark blue streak on her hair and smile. "You're not even gonna try and get back to your friemds?"

"What friends? The one's that almost got me killed since that's what everyone does even Reggie," I say sarcastically.

"But you know without them you can't beat Kair-"

"I beat the best class of fighters and even Cameron's dad. Even Mike who almost made my close friend Janise betray me!" I raise my voice and stand up only to fall forward at her feet.

"Since then you blammed yourself for Janise's death, but I helped you through it."She walks foreward and kneels down."You know why I fell in love with you, not because of your skill, abilities, or even physique. You always protected everyone but just know I'm always with you."

"She's right Adan,"I turn my head and the area around me gets a little darker but I see Ulysses leaning back on the bark of the tree in his green hoodie.

I get up and steady myself as I look around and see...him.

"Long time no see,"Arrix says as he looks up at me with his red mask,"If you listen to these two then you already lost, Reggie and Kairo are scared of you and you know it your eyes are getting sharper, with that imagine how unstoppable you'll be."

"Adan..." I feel her hand reach out to me along with Arrix. "You may have gotten betrayed by your friends but would Peter or Ulysses do that? They risked their lives to keep you alive knowing you do the same thing!"

"Nate did that and look who he turned out to be,"Arrix says as he turns back to me."Just give into that anger and after all 'WHO NEEDS FRIENDS?' "

My eyes black out as soon as I hear that..because one of my friends have said that.......
