Chapter 17- Light Becomes Dark

I sat there in front of a pool of blood not knowing how to react. I slowly get up holding my chest to ease the pain.

"Well, that was a unexpected turn of action..wouldn't you agree?" I turn to the direction of the voice and see Kairo laughing.

I hear a cough which makes me turn to see Itachi moving pulling a katana off his impaled shoulder. He slowly falls but catches his balance. Janise runs towards him helping him as I stare at Kairo, and clenching my fists tightly.

"The eyes of determination now filled with anger, tell me Adan do you honestly-"

"SHUT THE HELL UP! YOU WANNA KILL ME! THEN COME DOWN HERE!!" I yell loudly as he just smirks.

"Don't make a threat to me,"Kairo closes his eyes and opens them again, but they're different. "I am not your only enemy, what have your friends told you since you have woken up?" he says as I turn to Itachi who's not looking at me.

"Your friend Ulysses is dead, worthless boy couldn't even harm me-"

I don't let him finish as I run at him pulling out my pocket knife, I jump in the air but feel a punch connect to my face.

I fall down and see Reggie jump up next to Kairo. "It was easy to win a battle when you know the enemies' plan." Kairo says as Reggie nods" Truth is the government did depend on you but once they know you fell in battle and I was the lone survivor, hell they will make sure I'm a okay, and your buddy Nate? Yep he was in on it hell, I paid him a good amount but he wasn't gonna live long enough to enjoy it so the bastard killed himself, and he isn't the only one who's the traitor, I could tell you...but where's the fun in that. "

My eyes open wide as I fall to my knees feeling broken and the fact one of the people I trusted...betray me...and there's another....

"Pathetic, just like that girl who was with Nate is she took off with the fortune and disappeared. "Reggie says.

My head spins as my heart stops for a moment as I feel fire engulf my entire body. "HEY BOYS! FINISH THEM OFF,"Reggie says as I have run towards Itachi and carry him and Janise and take them to the vent I pull a sword off Jai's body and prepare for a fight.

"Take care of Janise I gotta rip someone's head off."

I open my eyes and begin to stab and slice my way through toward Reggie, I feel a few blades scrape my skin but it all doesn't matter to me.

I finally make it and jump into the air as I see them walking away and hearing a helicopter soar by.

I follow them up as I see them take off.

I run faster than ever as I jump high and grab the sides I break the window and stab the pilot causing him to lose control.

Reggie opens the door shooting my arm as I lose balance and fall. I grab on the side barely as I see Kairo walk toward me.

"A warrior must always meet someone better, you aren't worthy of such a title."he says as Reggie takes the wheel.

With that I see him grab his katana and stab my lower chest, causing me to fall down to the snowy plain 'Guess this is how it ends,' I think to myself as my eyes black out.

2 hours later
*Peter's P.O.V

I look into the sky and try to find Adan but to through no luck...

"So he went ballistic?"

"After hearing that I'm pretty sure i would've done the same,"I turn around to see Cameron against the wall scratching his head.

"How's Janise?"Itachi asks as he walks over to Akiko "She's fine unconscious with only a few minor bruises and cuts but telling by the defensive injuries its impressive she held herself against whatever cause it."

"I'm glad she's okay,"Kento sits by her side as Itachi eyes him."Have you gotten any location of Adan yet?"Itachi looks over to Cameron then Akiko.

"I dont see his presence anywhere even in hunter vision I can't track him, "Cameron says looking down."Even the tag that was on his shirt went offline-"

"So we give up!?"I stand up slaming my hand on the table"Adan is one of the most toughest people we all have known and even if he did go crazy back at Eden when he lost it he was even stronger and took down the super soldiers your dad created!"I yell toward Cameron who stops breathing for a moment as everyone processes what I took in.

"How can we even trust you?"I hear a blade come out of it's holster as Kento holds it up to Akiko's neck.

"W-What?! I see why you would suspect me of betrayal but I never known Reggie has made deals with Kairo!!"Kento walks closer to her until she's up against the wall."KENTO!"Itachi says holding on the handle of his Katana as Kento presses lightly on Akiko's neck."I believe her if she was our enemy she would've left with him and not left her here under suspicion that we would interigate her." Jamie and Sarah stay silent near Janise looking at her health.

"If you all trust her than I'll step down but if we're all wrong I won't hesitate to slice your neck off."Kento looks slowly down at Akiko as he pulls his sword back.

"If Adan is still alive he will atempt to look for us."I say as Itachi looks over at me.

"Forgive me for suggesting this but the words of a traitor are harsh Adan may feel the need to just not rely on anyone and if he stays upon this path he won't come back as a hero something worse...

I BASICALLY WANTED TO HAVE SUSPENSE IN THIS CHAPTER HAVING EVEYONE BE ON EDGE ON WHO TO TRUST AND ESPECIALLY WITH ADAN GONE WHAT WILL HAPPEN?!
