I stood there, waiting for him to say something. I wasn't going to say anything, that was for sure. What was I supposed to say? "Yes, hello I just manifested glass into darkness" No. Sarcasm within me was still strong, even in my head. My instinct took it's place and my rebellious streak kicked in, as I waited for a single word from him. I was considering how I may go about simply brushing it off. Somehow I don't think that is a legitimate solution. I didn't know how, I did however have it in me to be a coldhearted individual.

"How long?" he asked with a deep voice, It was a clear question and I knew exactly what it meant. However this would imply that he was entirely aware of what I had just done and yet he remained disturbingly calm. I consolidated it for a minute then replied gruffly.

"Since I was born" he thought about this reply for a second. I could have swore I saw a ghost of a smirk form on his lips as though he seemed to gain from my answer,

"How old are you?"  "24 not that it concerns you" I replied. Perhaps you may think I was acting rude, you must remember that this conspicuous man had just witnessed my power. His calmness only added to the mystery, just what type of man must he be for him to react in such an unfazed way?

"We'll see about that" he seemed to snicker to himself "Excuse me?" My eyebrows now expressing anger, I must protect myself in this, I retained a defensive status

"Nothing" he said. His lips now sealed tightly, he took a seat.

It was my turn to talk, I was aware of that and as he took a seat it was obvious that he was not about to leave just yet. I looked around the room, I then observed his facial expression for a brief moment. I am excellent at people watching yet I cannot read him, his expression was impossible to place a word on, it was otherworldly yet charming. I thought of a cold sentence, it would be a way to reveal little information about myself, yet discover him as much as possible. I must remain secretive in order to stay protective.

I was curious of such a quiet self reserved man, he looked young. He reminded me somehow of myself. His quietness was unseen in my generation and I was the only one who acted this way, to see it on someone else was completely fascinating. I turned back around to carry on scrubbing the wine glasses, one by one they were damaged by my powers, the man was just watching me destroy and struggle. He seemed to enjoy watching me struggle. A small smirk appeared at the side of his face. I tried.... hard. He caught my gaze, I froze a little at his sheer hold on my gaze, so difficult to look away. He seemed to have a fair amount of sympathy directed to me with a dramatic frown and a tilted head."Hm" he sighs. Smirk disappearing.

"You cant control it well, can you? Don't act differently because of my presence. I can tell you try not to use them, but now you can't help it, it has become significantly stronger"

"How did you know?" I asked with genuine curiosity.

"I cant explain this to you, at least not here."Fear not, it is completely natural. You are in the presence of an elemental, it strengthens your powers. Making it impossible to weaken and hide them. Besides, you can't always control it and especially for you who doesn't tend to use your power's. It's really an unreachable goal but if you are truly talented then you, will, be able to control it. You must learn to accept them before even beginning to embrace them."

He then fell silent and into thought. One eyebrow raised slightly higher than the other. He returned to his cold look. Hmph, he was difficult. "An elemental? what is that?" I asked.

"An elemental demo.... *He coughed nervously* Never mind". Strange, it almost sounded as though he was about to say demon....

A few second's had passed, I just stared at him. Enthralled. Then he spoke, looking directly into my eyes. It was then, it that moment that I had finally noticed his eyes. They were an icy blue colour. So beautiful. I now looked completely innocent, just staring at him like a small child. How rude of me.

"Are you gonna offer me a drink yet or what?" I sigh, disappointed that he would offer me no more and force me to return to work.

"What would you like?" "One beer" I frowned angrily, he seemed to realise exactly why.         "....Please" "Comin right up" I smiled.

After he sips his drink, his lips curl up into a gentle smile of appreciation. I noticed the glass had started to frost up. There were a series of small lines crawling their way up the glass until I heard a crack.

"So, the beer any good?"

"Mm"

"Oh.... Good. I've never seen you round here before, what brings you here of all places?"

"Oh I've been here before, it's just been awhile that's all. Let's just say I was grounded. Besides it like it here"

A wide, evil grin spread across his face, my heart fluttered a little. His evil way of speech made me feel like I was in on an evil secret. But I enjoyed the feeling and it left a satisfied feeling resonating in my heart. I did not embrace my evil nor did I reject it. He had a way of making me enjoy the evil, he was handsome. I hated to admit that I even had emotions, but I did.

As he was finishing up, he left the money on the counter and thanked me.

"You know.... I never got your name"  I ask.

"Mm, true, the names Blackheart"

For some reason, nothing made me question that. It felt right. He waved behind him,  his back facing me, he stopped halfway and without turning and spoke once more.

"And .... I, will, be returning" I had the strangest feeling he was smirking. I stood there purely bewildered at such a fascinating man.
