"Well, you did a pretty great job of cleaning up the place" I say, quite pleased with the outcome. "Oh, thanks, it was nothing"
I look around some more while the awkward silence begins and continues....huh?
"What's that?" I squint my eyes in confusion looking at the once smashed vase. Blackheart notices my confused expression "Oh yeah, that, sorry for smashing it"
"What do you mean 'Sorry for smashing it' it is completely flawless, not a single crack in sight. How the hell did you do that?" Once again he smirks and laughs quietly at the mention of hell, ah yes it seems I've put two and two together considering his father is supposedly Mestopholis. "Ah I just bought a new one for you" Oh.... "Oh.... Well that'd make sense ahaha".
"Blackheart, I've thought about it and I think I'm ready to hear what happened between you and your father but please don't go into too much detail because I'm still not ready to hear about that"
"'Still not ready to hear about that'?Claudia you've had your entire life"
"You don't understand, I've been in the dark for so long and I'm ready to hear the truth but that truth may be too difficult for me to take in, it could change my entire life, it could turn it upside down, and if its going to turn my entire world around then I'm just not ready for that yet"
"Turn your life upside down? What have you got here to turn upside down. Do you call this a life?" He sighs and I frown, I should be angry but he is correct. It is the hard reality for me.
"Fine, I understand, well, it all started like this...." Blackheart explains.
~Blackheart stands stubbornly with his arms folded facing his father. "You underestimate me Father, I am stronger than you ever will be, you have grown old Father. You are no longer fit to rule over hell, times have changed. Now it's time for you to change"
"And just what do you plan to do with your power huh? Because ruling hell is not just about treating others cruely for your amusement or entertainment. Blackheart, I may be old but I am far wiser than you and until you learn the morals you are unfit to rule. Still so childish, change with the times? You haven't yet so why should I? You're still so obsessed with power that you do not focus on what it is, to be the ruler of hell"
"Oh Father, my have you grown soft with your old age" Mestopholis smirks.
"And you somehow think that you are exempt from softness?" Blackheart smirks now too.
"Well we'll see about that, or not" he begins to laugh with a darker tone, he speaks one last time.
"Wise? Noneoftheless you still no nothing, I'll have my ways father and you cannot stop me, I will take the throne and claim it as my own"~
-Mestopholis stands with his hands wrapped as tight as a snake around Gressil's neck, constricting him. Gressil gasps for air before breaking into a pile of dirt and regaining himself. They are in the chilling desert at night, wind rushes past occasionally, emitting the wails of lost souls. Gressil merely laughs at his weak attempt.
"And what might you possibly do?Smash me?" He laughs again and Mestopholis smirks, the smirk that makes Blackheart want to destroy him.
"Oh no Gressil, perhaps you might not want to tread on such foolish grounds, something far worse" He clicks his finger's and speaks the name in a stern voice "Wallow".
Gressils face takes a more serious expression. A sound can be heard, as though water had just spilt and was forming a pool. Gressil looks around with great concern but struggles to see anything. With the wind picking up a fast pace, carrying the sand besides their feet. A rumbling sound becomes audible and then Gressil can feel it beneath his feet. Before he is aware of its direction a cannon of water blasts his muddied body and he is reduced to a puddle. Mestopholis walks off into the distance.
He continues to walk until he reaches a lake surrounded by a thick marsh and wilting tree life.
"Ah, I sense you have returned home, it really wasn't that far from Gressil at all"
Mestopholis continues walking until he gets dangerously close to the waters edge. From there he retrieves a can of gasoline and begins to slyly pour it into the water until as much of the water as can be seen is covered. A click sound emits from his hand and the flame on his matchstick starts burning viciously. The flame continues to flicker and sway back and fourth.
"So Wallow, do you like gasoline?" He laughs wickedly and bubble's of oxygen rise from the lake in response of anger.
"Well I sure hope you enjoy this"
The water starts to sway as though it were trying to evade capture. Mestopholis throws in the matchstick and the entire lake is set alight in fierce flames. The flames burn on into the night, reaching the sky.-
Betrayal, using each one of them to fight against one another. Like an army, but his plans have failed. I have returned to collect them. I am their King.
"That was Mestopholis greatest mistake, he thought there were only three of us, Myself, Gressil and Wallow, He couldn't have been more wrong. There was one other element yet to be found, completely forgotten by Mestopholis and that just made him angrier."
"Just because wallow attacked Gressil does not mean he is completely destroyed. He can be dried off. And they were not alone that night with Abigor stalking them nearby. "Might I ask you a question Claudia? What dries the washing when it's hung up? What blows out a candle left alone outside?"
[I think this is one of my best chapter's so far, fascinating and superior ^^]
