Chapter 8.

Sunday 6th July 2014.

Harry’s POV:

So…It’s Holly’s birthday in a week. I have absolutely no clue what to do for her? Maybe I should take her out for a romantic dinner. I sit down with Holly’s friends to get advice. “What does Holly like doing for her birthday?” They all sit and have a think. “She usually just gathers us and some of her other friends round for a girly night.”  Jasmine explains. “Maybe she should do something different this year, she’s been doing that since she turned 16”.  Payton explains. “Why don’t you do something for her Harry?” Jodie suggests.  “Yeah, but what?” I say whilst scratching my head. “Something romantic” Jodie suggests. Then my head clicks. I know exactly what to do for her.

Holly’s POV:

It’s my birthday in a few days. I’ll probably do the same old thing that I usually do. Well maybe slightly different. Me and the girls will probably go out this year rather than staying in and having a gathering in the house. This year I have harry so it might be different, slightly more exciting.

I’m getting on so well in the movie. I’ve made quite a few friends on set. It’s so exciting meeting new people. There are some people I’m co-starring with that are very big in the film industry. Emily Osment plays one of the girls that I go to high school with. She is a bully in the film but in reality she is such a nice girl. The people who play my parents in the film are brilliant. John Travolta plays my dad. It’s such an honour working with him. He was my inspiration as I grew up and still is. At one point when I was 15 I gave up on myself and with my whole acting career, I thought I would never make it. Looking up to him made me motivate myself and rise back up. I always dreamed of making a movie with him and now I finally am. Catherine O’Hara plays the character of my mother. She’s brilliant, such a lovely woman. Dylan Sprouse is playing the boy that comes and changes my life. He fits the part so well and he’s such a nice guy as well. I get on with him really well. I think Harry gets slightly jealous when I talk about the laughs we have on set.

I’m on my way to the filming set. I’m excited about the day ahead. I walk in to find Emily and Dylan messing around on the stunt matt. They see me and run over to me. “Holly! You’ve gotta try this!” Emily shouts. I laugh and join in. We are all jumping off of things onto the stunt matt. The director comes to collect us as we have to start shooting.

Today we have to shoot quite an emotional scene. The bullies sneak into my house and steal my diary. My diary has such vital secrets that absolutely nobody knows. They all photocopy my diary and send it round the whole school. The guy that comes into my characters life is called ‘Riley Parker’. That’s the character that Dylan Sprouse plays. The name of the main bully is called ‘Rachael Evans’. Who is played by Emily Osment. Riley also goes to the school. He’s one of the ‘popular’ guys. When the photo copies get spread round he also sees them. I run out of school and go home. My parents try to get out of me what has happened but I can’t tell them. Riley turns up at my front door. My dad lets him in and he comes into my room. He walks in and I’ve cut myself all up both of my arms. I’m passed out on my bed absolutely covered in blood. Riley bursts in and screams. My parents run up and my dad lifts me up off my bed in shock. I wake up in hospital, clueless of what happened.

To me it’s quite a personal scene as I used to self-harm when I was younger, so I can really relate to the movie. By doing this movie it really helps me realise I changed for the better and it did me a lot of good. Also if I hadn’t changed I wouldn’t have the amazing career that I have now. I wouldn’t be living my dream.
