{Grace's POV}
Week 2, Day 1
I tucked my dirty, blonde hair behind my earbuds. I bobbed my head as if listening to music but that wasn't the reality. Amelia suggested we learn Morse code to communicate when people are around and we can't escape. She had a noise app and she tapped the buttons as my brain declassified the code.
W-H-A-T-P-R-A-N-K
What prank? I guessed.
What prank am I going to do?
That's a question I never asked myself. I know who I am going to prank, though.
Puma
I personally asked everyone else to choose someone else to prank.
That's it!
I thought of the perfect idea. Time to go. I Morse Code Amelia, telling her I am going to get supplies. Our rule for the pranks is two people are going to prank each other only for the first 6 days. The last day, we team up with that person and prank everyone else at once. I tell everyone else I am going and head out of Suflé's room, which we were in.
I made my way out of her house, and my eyes catch something on Amelia's bike. Her dark, purple bike has a thin piece of white by the seat.
A scratch? She is going to be so mad!
I took one more step and looked back to the bike. It wasn't a scratch. It was a piece of paper. The angle I was in made the paper look wider. I don't see anything on it though. The paper was inside her seat. It must be left only for her. I took another step and looked back at the paper. It said:
For Grace
For Grace? Why is it on Amelia's bike? I looked around and took the paper. I carefully opened it up, and my eyes scanned the paper vigorously.
"What the fuck?" I practically shouted.
I looked up from the paper and saw a mother pushing a stroller with 2 babies in it, scowling at me.
"Sorry!" I shouted at her. She shrugged her shoulders and continued walking.
I looked back at the paper, reading the 6 letters over and over again.
It was nice seeing you again
I flipped over the paper and on it was a Japanese Kanji. I recognized it from watching anime. I think it was for shrimp. Shrimp in Japanese is Ebi.
As in Ebi Colander
I ran back inside, nearly kicking Suflé's dog. Before I got to the door, I ran back to the dog, cuddling it and apologizing for my sorrows. I finally got to the room and tripped on one of Suflé's beanbag. Fortunately, I fell right next to her mini fridge, so I grabbed a soda. Everyone was looking at me weird.
"What?" I asked. "Am I not allowed to have a soda?"
"Grace, what happened?"
I explained the note and the dog.
"You kicked my dog?!" Suflé shouted.
"No, I nearly kicked it." I said.
"Never mind that." Amelia stated. "Give the note to the police and then we can think of our pranks. This summer is supposed to be fun."
"Okay, but I don't want to go alone. This guy can burn an entire building in 30 seconds without being caught. Imagine what he would do if he got to my anime and manga collection."
