Song: She by Elvis Costello
Christmas passed flawlessly for the first time in 2 years, due to my temporary job at the Smosh office and working for Mrs. Ire I earned enough money to afford plane tickets back to Chicago, where I spent christmas with my family. Mark picked me up at the airport and we hung out for the day, getting waffles and hot chocolate, even if the slight chill in the California air had already left while I was away. Since then I've been working hard at the Smosh office, and as much as I've enjoyed it, it's been far from a bliss. Long hours, frustrating editing programs and the constant nagging in the back of my head reminding me that it's all only for the moment. Nevertheless, it's been fun, even though the only person I really got to hang out with is Wes as he volunteered to mentor me in the editing program they use. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Hey :) Are you doing something on tuesday?
[You] Sent 14:45-
The office is closed right? So nope. :)
[Wes] Sent 14:46-
So what are you going to do all day then?
[You] Sent 14:46-
Eat a bunch of food, treat myself to some videogames and watch a couple of bad movies probably.
[You] Sent 14:47-
And you?
[Wes] Sent 14:47-
Alone?
[You] Sent 14:48-
Yep :p
[Wes] Sent 14:51-
Well I'm going to this Valentine's party with the crew, and I was wondering if you wanted to tag along? Not to take videogames away from you or anything, haha
[Wes] Sent 14:51-
I'd be fun!
[You] Sent 14:52-
I'd love to (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ Dress code?
[Wes] Sent 14:53-
Fairly fancy I'm afraid. I will pay for a dress if you don't have one of course
[You] Sent 14:54-
No, no it's fine, I have something in mind :)
Truth to be told, (ironically) I lied. I do not have a dress as the one Mark got for me sadly was, well, ruined. It wouldn't have fit anyway, it was a little too summery. Though, I guess it wasn't all a lie, I do have a dress in mind {Chapter 5, Magical Bad-Tea Powder}: the one that Kim tried on but couldn't afford, nor did it really fit her body type. Now, I mean, it's still expensive, but I still have more money than I have had in a long time and I know grandma is going to send her annual Valentine's gift of $100 soon, so I'm not throwing away all my money. The dark blue cocktail dress would be perfectly classy and since I have a shorter upper body than Kimberly, there's a small chance that it'll fit me better. With that I grab my keys, phone and wallet, locked my door and headed for the store.

My stomach flutters, yes flutters, as I straighten out the dress in front of me. Dark navy blue satin, beautifully cut to fit whatever curves I have. It honestly fit better than I thought it did, but it was a to a hefty price of $230. It's tuesday, one pm, and I'm out ridiculously early to get ready for tonight's get together. It doesn't start until six and I don't need to leave until five thirty, but you can never be too early right? Besides, I feel like glamming up and I'm not the best at the whole 'beauty' thing (I can't even curl my own hair without a disaster happening, believe me, the senior prom accident is not about to get a sequel), so I'll probably need a couple of hours. Still, I can't help but feel a tad overwhelmed by everything I need to remember. I lean back in my computer chair that is conveniently placed right by my bed, trying to wreck my brain for tips my sister gave me.
