(POV Kane)..Some where deep in the underworld
“Do you know what you have done DEMON,” the tiny woman in the silver cell screamed at me.
I crossed my massive arms and cocked one of my thick eyebrows at her. “Oh and what have I done.”
“Don’t play stupid with me,” she spat. “You broke the law of the realms Demon. I don’t know how you escaped the underworld but your kind is forbidden roam the land of the living. Do you know what will happen when they find out you were above ground. The will end you and everything down here.”
I laughed at the lovely lady, “They won’t end us without the underworld there is no balance. As for me being above, I’m only half Demon and as for the others they were summoned by the ward. We both know if a Demon that is summoned doesn’t breech the law.”
“It is if you take a hostage into the underworld. You are not to interfere with living beings for personal gain.” She spat at me.
“Well that might be but like I said I’m only half Demon and there is only one of my kind. So those laws don’t apply to me. I can leave the underworld any time I please.” She growled at me, but then fell to her knees and clutched her stomach. “Hey, what’s the matter? Stop fucking around I’m not falling for that old trick.” She rolled on to the ground as hugged her slightly rounding belly.
I charged over to the holding cell and opened the door. I knelt by her side and tried to uncurl her body. “It hurts,” she whimpered as she pulled my hand to her stomach.
As soon as my hand touched her rounding belly, I was jolted with a unknown feeling as I lovely voice reached out to me. “Kane, your killing me. There is too much dark energy and it is feeding off my unborn soul. Please help me Kane.” I wanted to pull my hand away but I couldn’t, so used my free arm to picked up the small women and flew out the underworld to my house above ground. “Thank you Kane,” the delicate voice said.
“Who are you?” I asked as I spoke at her rounding belly.
“I’m your future Kane, but you much choose between dark and light.” She said.
“There is no choice little one, for all that I am is dark and I no longer have a soul. My fate has been sealed since birth.”
“Do you trust me….Do you believe me…… let me show you the future.” A small buzzing floated around me and vision was projected into my mind.
A tall elegant blonde woman was running away from me as her twinkling green eyes taunted me from a far. I heard a rustling sound for the distance and a voice that sound like mine call out. “Let’s go get your mommy boys.” Two dark haired boys around the age 6 bolted after the tall blonde women. I could feel something warm tugging at my dark soul. The little boys tackled the tall blonde women to the ground and started tickling her. A large tall dark haired man hovered next to the little family as he stood by and watched them play.
“Help me Kane,” the lovely women said in between giggles as she reached out to me.
A loud barking sound came from the distance, “Daddy……Daddy… look what I found ….a puppy. Can I keep him?” A little blonde hair girl called out. The dark haired man turned and looked in her direction and my body stiffened in shock. It was me ….the dark haired man was me…. But my eyes where no longer black voids but a beautiful shade of ice blue. I tried to pull away from the magical hold as the disturbing image filled my head.
“That isn’t me…..its liessssssss…..why are you doing this to me……..Why……show me something so…so….so.” I growled out of frustration, “That isn’t me …that is not my future.”
