A day before Nikko 18th birthday……….

“Dude!!! Are you listening to me?” someone whistled as me as a big hand waved in front of my face. I leaned back from the big hand and glared over at its owner.

“What?” I barked over at Jake.

He chuckled, “man did you get your period this week or something you been PMSing like all week? Your supposed to be happy your turned 18 and becoming Alpha bro…”

I sat there numbly not even really paying attention, “Oh yea…right….sorry Jake I just have a lot on my mind lately.”

“No worries man I guess you don’t want to play Call of Duty anymore.” Jake said as he tossed the controller on the couch.

“Naw, man I’m just kind of Zone out. You know how it goes, when you’re just feeling BLAH.” I said.

He jumped up and said, “ I have the perfect cure for Blah…it’s called P…U…S…S…Y. What you need is to get laid…bro. Come on….lets  go pick up some chicks.”  Jake said  as he pulled me to my feet. I chuckled quietly as I followed him out the door.  If he only knew the truth that I was still a virgin. It’s not that I haven’t had the opportunity it’s just that when you’re being watched by a girl pixie 24/7 it isn’t the ideal situation for loose ones virginity.  The guys think I’m some kind of player but the truth is that I’m not and I’m just waiting for the day I met my mate. I figured I have waited this long that I might as well wait for my mate plus waiting a little longer won’t hurt me.

“Dude……you’re doing it again your spacing off again.” Jake said with a teasing grin.

“Sorry,” I said as I leaned my head back against the elevator wall.  Jake pressed the button and the doors closed I asked, “So where are we going?”

“The unmated floor,” he said with big smirk. “So are you going to tell me what’s wrong, after all I’m your Beta.”

“Well…..This going to sound kind of stupid, but she’s gone and it’s been making me uneasy.” I said as watched the elevator floor indicator.

“Who is……wait,” he paused with a chuckled.  “You mean Zurie is gone. Your little pixieProtector……huh”

I blushed as the door dinged opened,” Yea, it’s been two weeks since I have heard from her.” We walked out the elevator and head to the game room, “ it’s strange.  I keep flinching and looking over my shoulder like she is going to be there, but she isn’t. Zurie has been with me for two years and then “POOF” she gone without a word.” I sighed loudly and said quietly,” She didn’t even say good bye.” said quietly.

Jake roared with laughter and he struggled to speak, “Dude if I didn’t know any better I would say you liked her.”

I snorted, “ Don’t be stupid….she is a pixie and little magical being. I….just….well….. she is kind of my friend.”

Jake laughed even harder, “It  sound like your pretty whipped by some who is just a friend but I can say this Pixie or not…she is good for you. She is the only one who makes you lose control; it is strange how your sister Cassi and brother Adrian are like. The both act like your mom, they are little firecrackers and on the wild side. While you and your sister Alexia are the quiet and responsible ones. I mean don’t get me wrong you get wild but only with close family member or friends. But even then you watch out for everyone and do the whole protective thing.”
