KARMA POV
After I patched up Nagisa, I thought it would be appropriate to ask some questions.
"He-" "Why don't you hate me?" Cut off once more. But, it was fine. "Nagisa... Why would I hate you?"
He let out a small, forced laugh. "What is there NOT to hate? I left you for five years... five years! And... You're just being so patient with me, but I'm just one big mess! Why?! Why don't you hate me!??" He sounded like... He wanted me to hate him...
"Nagisa, I can't hate you..." That's all I could think of to say, but Nagisa urged on."Why not? Everyone else does!" He got louder, if that was even possible. But I didn't really care about that at the moment. I was more worried about the statement he just made.
"What do you mean, "Everyone else does"? No one's seen you since you ran away," at least that's what I thought, but life has a funny way of surprising you, huh? He looked down, suddenly getting quiet.
"You mean... they didn't tell you..?" He looked as if millions of things were going through his head all at once. "None of them told you... hehe... None of the 12 people who saw me said anything to you?" "Nagisa... what are you talking about..?" Although I had a clue, and was insanely angry with how true it would probably be, I wanted verification.
"12 people! In the past 5 years, people who had close connections with you never said anything! They saw me! In alleys, at stores, on the streets, all beaten and bruised, but never uttered a word!? Hahaha! They really do hate me after all! At first it was just a hunch, but now, I know it's true!" He continued... laughing. And crying.
"Nagisa," My tone was irregularly monotone, although I burned with anger, I had to calm Nagisa first. He's obviously more unstable than me. I put on a fake yet believable smile and put a hand on the bluenette's knee, catching his attention and stopping his laughter, although tears kept flowing like waterfalls.
"You know that I could never hate you. But please tell me..." I paused, hesitant as to whether I really want the answer. But I got it anyway, because Nagisa understood what I wanted.
"Kayano, Teraseka, Isogai, Asano, Kanzaki, Okuda, Takebayashi, Suguya, Yoshida, Takuya, Hazama... and.... M-Ms. Yukimura..." He choked up at the last part... He must've really looked up to her, and I don't think he'd be able to function at all if I told him she was dead.
"A-Are you sure no one said anything to you..?" He was tearing up. I shook my head and he burst into tears, although it was nearly silent. I pulled Nagisa into a warm embrace, petting the blue locks on his head."Nagisa," I had an evil plan that I wanted to try, and I'm sure he'd love to take part.
"You think we should... pay them a visit?"
