Standing up in her cage slowly Scorch began to hear a whistle and on the lock of the cage door was a little spider. She hated spiders. Scorch began to squeal and ended up having her head hit against the cage again so she thought the best thing for her to do was to stay quiet, no matter how much she wanted to wail and scream. She put her little nose closer to the cage lock and sniffed the spider allowing it to crawl onto her nose... then a loud howl from outside distracted her giving the spider time to bite her on the nose. "YIP!" The cage flew onto the floor and the sound of the trucks tires stopping with a scream as it pulled over to the side of the road echoed in her ears. "It's time." The whisper came from inside of her head and she felt very tired. The spider crawled onto her head and bit her there and then her back and tail. John stepped out of the vehicle and grabbed the cage off the floor. Scorch began to fall asleep, deeper and deeper she began to go, and then finally pitch black. "She's waking up!" She opened her eyes when a warm tongue licked her ear and her back. "Where am I?" She stood up and saw puppies all around her. "Are you an alien?" Said a puppy with black fur as he walked up to her with his tongue hanging out the side of his mouth. He had a stump for a tail and he had a white diamond in the middle of his chest, a birth mark, most likely. "Will you brats go bother the elders and leave this puppy alone?" Five gray furred puppies ran from behind her followed by the little black one. "Sorry about that they never saw a wolf pup who had red markings." Scorch stood up and looked into the eyes of the brown and black furred wolf. "I'm Briannah, and you are?" Shaking her head she answered a little scared,"Scorch." "Nice to meet you, Scorch, the others are waiting to meet you." Briannah began walking away her dark and light brown fur shining in the daylight light like crystals. Scorch ran up beside her and lightly pulled on her ear to get her attention. "Whats did you mean by others?" "You'll see young pup, you'll see." They came into a clearing where there were wolves hurrying about and puppy's playing as if there was no tomorrow. Most of them stopped to look at the new wolf but a glance sometimes a snarl from her sent them back. "Sorry, excuse me, sorry!" Scorch looked over to another wolf around her age who pushed his way past a few others just so he could come see her and walk by her. "Sorry you're the new wolf pup." "I guess I am." She said looking in front of her and holding her head and tail high. "You might not wanna do that most wolf pups our age around here would be happy to show you who's boss." "Let them try and I'll rip them apart!" The little gray pup walked a little lower. "I hope you're kidding." "I'm not." Briannah stopped and sat where she stood. "Lord Kyloren, the new wolf is here." An old wolf stepped up to them and sniffed Scorch, she whined and bowed before him feeling his power wash over her. "Leave us." Briannah walked out the room with her tail twisted around her leg, in fact she left so fast Scorch thought her tail was on fire. "What do we do with you now?" He looked down at her for a while before a smile spread across his face. "We could make you a fighter. Maybe teach you every fighting moves to help you fight against your enemies or maybe you can be our messenger." Kyloren pushed Scorch we all his strength but she didn't fall over, maybe stumble but never once did she fall. "Warrior it is." He turned his attention to the large brown wolf beside him and whispered something into his ear. With a nod the wolf walked up to Scorch and told her to follow him. "This is the training grounds." He pushed aside a large heavy rock and stepped aside to reveal a large arena with sand floors. The wall where made of grey stone with red stone around the top. It was huge. "So this is where I will be training?"
"Of course."
"Who's my trainer?"
"I am. I'm the best fighter here and I will train you to be better than me."
Scorch looked up at him but stayed silent while she tried to find the right words to say to this warrior who stood a higher rank than her. "Your training begins tomorrow and will continue until you're ready to prove yourself as a warrior."
"Then I'm ready!"
