The next day

Aria was nestled in a sleeping bag she was still exhausted from yesterday, it was early morning and the orange hues off the sky caught arias attention she groaned and shoved the blanket up and over her face. Octavia was snoring but abruptly stopped when bellamy's voice run out through the camp "Everyone up we have work to do a fence to finish building weapons to make, everybody up." Octavia groaned and rolled over onto her stomach before latching onto aria like a spider. "Excuse..." Aria said but octavia just muttered "I'm cold and you're so warm." Aria rolled her eyes and laughed, her body never got too cold nor did she ever get too hot it regulated itself throughout the day because of what she was, because this morning was a bit chilly before the sun fully raised arias body temp was on the warm side. "Am i interrupting something?" Bellamy asks opening the tent. "Bellamy go away." Octavia muttered before shoving her face into Aria's side. "I'm just warm right now and she's cold tired and... cranky." Aria said and flinched as octavia smacked her at her last word. "I'm not cranky." She whined out. "Come on princess we need your strength just because... you're a wolf you don't get special privileges you need to help just as much." Bellamy said but was sure to say the wolf bit quietly. Aria groaned and pushed octavia off her before standing and walking out of the tent in her black ripped up skinny jeans, black buckled combat boots and her black sports bra. "Let's go solider it's gonna take a bit for Octavia to get up anyway." Bellamy nodded and followed beside Aria. "Can I talk to you?" Bellamy asked pulling Aria aside away from people. "What?" she questioned. "I think i want to set you as a commander for now with murphy and then i want others to see your strengths so i can then set you as my partner." "Uh I'll think about it." Aria said before patting his chest and walking back into the middle of camp. "Are you gonna take the offer?" Murphy asked coming up behind Aria startling her causing her to turn and shove him onto the ground with her on top. He raised his hands in defense "Sorry i didn't mean to startle you." He said will a small smile. Aria got up and pulled murphy up with her "sorry..." She muttered before answering his question "I'll think about it, and besides why were you spying on us?" Aria questioned but before murphy could answer octavia pulled aria aside. "What's wrong?" Aria questioned. "My idiot brother tied atom to a tree last night because i kissed him the day you were hurt." "He was hanging all night?" Aria questioned. Octavia nodded then glared towards Bellamy. "I'll handle it." Aria muttered before stomping over to bellamy. Aria grabbed bellamy and yanked him to the apple tree she found the first day. "What's you're problem this time princess." "Don't call me that Bellamy you're not my king yet. Why the fuck did you tie atom up to a damn tree because he kissed your sister." "I don't want people touching her or you is that clear." He said flatly. "Why me as well?" Aria asked her brows furrowing. "I don't want you hurt as simple as that." Bellamy said in a rough voice. Aria turned her back and scoffed "I can protect myself. Don't touch atom again Bellamy i mean it this is a warning." She muttered with a growl before grabbing three apples and heading back to camp. Bellamy grabbed a few then headed back himself. Aria dragged Octavia to atom and handed them both apples "Bellamy shouldn't have done that to you atom and it's not gonna happen again if it does i will put Bellamy through hell." Aria said with a gold glare as she thought about Bellamy. "Thank you Ari." Octavia said hugging onto her friend. The three of them ate their apples and talked and laughed. Murphy watched in the distance his glare cold he wanted Aria and nothing was gonna stop him, he's killed before so what's the problem. He sneered before walking away. Bellamy was also watching but had no idea Murphy was Bellamy still felt a pull towards Aria but it was stronger after he saw her wolf form, he just didn't understand what exactly it meant. He let out a frustrated sigh before walking off to see how well the wall was going. A few people came to Bellamy protesting that they were hungry and couldn't work. "Alright alright let's go hunting." He called out then gathered Murphy, miller, jones and atom. "Let's go we're going hunting." Bellamy said. "Aria would you like to come?" He questioned before eyeing Octavia and atom who were too close for comfort. "No, i'll stay behind." Aria said. "Alright Aria is in charge until we get back with food, that doesn't mean stop working you all work till we get back!" Bellamy yelled out before grabbing some weapons and heading out. Aria walked up to the fire and sat on a log with octavia beside her. "You think they'll be okay?" Octavia questioned. Aria nodded then stood. "I'm gonna get a bunch of apples you're in charge till i get back." Octavia nodded as response. Aria grabbed a bag from Bellamy's tent and eyed a girl asleep on top of his sleeping back. She rolled her eyes and walked out with a huff. "Would you like help?" a black haired blue eyed girl asked Aria. "Uh sure alright hold the bag while i go and grab my shirt." The girl nodded and followed beside aria. "My name is tempest, I really love you're hair by the way." she said with a smile but her mind raced she knew Aria was hiding something she was what Jaha and her father Khane kept hidden. But that changed and Tempest wanted to know why. "Thank you." Aria said with a smile. "Have you been in the woods yet?" Aria questioned looking over at Tempest who was glowering at everything. She simply nodded no in response. Aria nodded and walked up to the tree. "There are other apple trees around here but this one is the closest. Aria said looking up at the large apple tree. Aria scaled the tree and threw down as much apples as she could grab. She peeked over a branch and looked down at tempest "So why were you in prison you don't look like you'd be a killer or a thief." "I'm neither of those, my father is counselor khane, the council and the chancellor were hiding something big and since my dad didn't tell me i hacked into the computer system..." "So you're a hacker and a spy basically." Aria questioned her face growing red she hid it behind the branch and threw down more apples. Aria was that secret... she didn't know khane had an actual daughter he never told Aria about her. "So what about you why were you in jail?" Tempest asked eyeing what she could see of Aria. "It's uh it's a long story honestly." Aria muttered. "Well I have all day so shoot." Tempest said. Aria sighed she knew this girl wasn't gonna give up so she had to tell her something, she just didn't know how much this girl already knew. Once the bag was filled Aria hopped down. "My parents were floated when I was born I don't know why but I basically grew up in the cell sometimes i would hang with the guards and train with them to become one but that changed jaha didn't see fit even though you're dad tried to protest so instead they kept me locked up and well now we're here aren't we..." Aria said throwing her arms up. Tempests brows furrowed in confusion maybe she wasn't hiding something it just didn't make sense none of it made sense but it was good enough for now atleast. Aria grabbed the bag of apples back from tempest and carried them back in camp. "Finally!" the crowd yelled then cheered as aria dumped the large bag of apples onto the ground one each then if there's more take another and so on, no fighting i can easily get more." Aria said loudly before grabbing one herself and another bringing it to octavia. Octavia ran to Aria panicked. "Charlotte went in the woods after bellamy I think she went to go find them." "The fourteen year old girl?" Aria questioned. Octavia nodded. "Damnit." Aria growled out. "Okay everyone on break while you eat i'll be back no fights." Aria yelled out. "I'm coming with you!" Octavia said. "Me too." Tempest called out with a bitten apple in her hand. Aria nodded. "Both of you grab weapons." Aria said they both picked up knives and aria grabbed one for herself "Let's go." Aria ran into the woods and took in a deep breath before following what smelled like charlotte's scent. They ran deeper in the woods till they heard screams. A yellow fog was rolling out you could barely see through it but it smelled toxic it made Arias sensitive nose scrunch in disgust. The fog started trapping them "This way!" Aria yelled grabbing the two girls and running as fast as her legs could take her she threw them both into the cave and cried out has it hit her arm before she dived into the cave and rolled. She stood quickly and murphy and miller were looking at them. "You're okay?" Murphy yelled grabbing aria into a hug but she hissed in pain and pushed him away to inspect her hand and wrist area. She groaned in pain as she touched it. "How bad it it..." Murphy said coming closer and lightly holding onto her hand. It was fresh open sores all up her arm and the top side of her hand. "It'll heal." Aria muttered before sitting and putting her hands on her head frustrated. That scream she heard she didn't know whose it was but whoever it was they died. A Tear rolled down Aria's cheek... It couldn't be Bellamy it couldn't there was no way it was him. But she kept doubting herself the scream played itself over and over again like a broken record in her head. "What's wrong Ari." Octavia said sitting beside Aria and pulling her up. "She heard that scream." Tempest said walking to Aria and Octavia with tears on her face as well. Aria looked up at tempest with a sad face. "No... NO!" Octavia cried out. "It couldn't have been bellamy." She said with tears streaming down her face. "It was a male scream the only other two are Bellamy and Atom." Murphy said. "Dude you're not helping shut up." Miller said to murphy then eyes the three girls crying. "It'll be okay..." He said then whispered "It has to be." Murphy walked to the entrance of the cave. "It's cleared." He said flatly before stepping outside. The three girls and Miller took a step outside. "This way..." Aria said as she followed bellamy's scent. She picked up her speed till she saw him she ran and jumped in his arms burying her face in the crook of his neck. "You're alive." She breathed out and wiped her tears away. "What happened to your arm?" Bellamy asked as he let go of Aria and inspected Arias arm. "The fog." Aria whispered. Jones glared at Aria and Bellamy it was not fair that Bellamy liked aria, aria was too dumb to even realize it. "Atom." Bellamy said breathlessly before he pulled aria to where he heard the screams of charlotte, octavia and tempest. "Atom." Aria said before running to him and getting on her knees. "God damnit." Bellamy said angrily before walking to atom. Octavia was in tempest arms crying then fell into her brother's arms. "You're alive!" She gasped but choked on tears. "Can you do anything Aria?" Aria nodded there was one thing she could do before he died... she could take his pain at least some of it. "K-k-kill... kill me... kill me p-please." Atom stuttered out in pain. Aria placed her hand on his face and closed her eyes. Black veins showed up on arias right arm and went all the way up to her face. She cringed as she took as much pain as she could but stopped and fell back in pain coughing out. "T-thank you... P-please kill me." atom stuttered once more shutting his eyes. Aria grabbed her knife and held it to atoms throat she held back sobs but her throat hurt. Bellamy leaned in placing his hand over Arias. "Were in this together." He whispered Aria nodded and choked on a sob. "I will see you again atom. Sweet dreams." Aria said quietly as she and bellamy shoved the knife in atoms throat killing him. Octavia cried loudly and ran into aria's arms as aria stood and walked over to them. Aria rubbed octavias back with her unharmed arm. "It'll be okay O... it'll be okay." Aria muttered before picking octavia up bridal style. "Grab atom he deserves a proper burial." Aria said eyeing the boys. Jones, tempest, and charlotte walked beside aria all of them looking down. Octavias sobs were loud and the whole camp stood on their feet when they entered camp. "Grounders aren't the only thing in this world we have to fear." Aria said before walking into the drop ship. "I better go get this grave dug." Wells said more to himself than anything as he grabbed a shovel and walked over to the burial sight. Jasper was sitting up in the drop ship drinking water. "What happened?" He asked curiously. "Not now Jasper." Aria muttered before placing octavia on one of the drop ships seats and grabbing some of the seaweed and rubbing it all over the wounds on her arm. She hissed in pain as it burned but she could feel it already start to heal. Clarke explained to jasper what happened then turned to Aria. "I'm sorry for how i've treated you i've just had so much running through my mind, it's hard to wrap my mind around everything." "It's alright blondie." Aria said to Clarke before putting some of the seaweed down and sitting beside Octavia. "It will be okay octavia I know this fucking sucks but right now we need to not dwell on it there's too many things that can happen it's best not to dwell on the past." Octavia nodded then got up "I'm gonna go to sleep early." She muttered before leaving the drop ship. Aria followed behind her. "Can you sleep in Bellamy's tent tonight i want to be alone." Octavia said turning to aria before solemnly walking in her tent. Aria huffed and looked at Bellamy who saw the whole thing play out. "If you don't want to sleep in my tent you don't have too." Bellamy said. Aria nodded "It's alright i'll sleep in your tent tonight." "Atom was buried a few others went out unsupervised and got food besides you're apples so we're good on food for right now." Bellamy said. Aria nodded. "I'm gonna go to sleep early too." Aria said lowly before walking into Bellamy's tent. But the girl from earlier was asleep in her bra and panties in bellamy's bed. Aria groaned. She walked out and glared at Bellamy "I'll find somewhere else to sleep." Aria said before walking off. Bellamy walked into his tent and groaned. "Get out. Get dressed and get out, stop coming in my damn tent Lily." Bellamy said to the girl. She scoffed and got dressed and pushed past bellamy and walked out. "Want to sleep with me tonight?" Tempest asked walking to Aria. "Yeah, thanks tempest." Aria said. Aria and tempest both headed to sleep as night hit quickly and darkness overtook the camp besides the glowing lights from the fire and drop ship.
