Seeing me heartbroken
My friends say
That there is
More fish in the sea
And while that may be true
It doesn't help
Because don't they know
They are not all the same?
Every 'fish' has it's difference
Whether it be white or blue
Striped or spotted
Big or small
There isn't a single one identical
For every 'fish'
Has its own personality,
Its own appearance
So yes, there are plenty of
'Fish' in the sea
But not a single one
Can fill the wide
Gaping hole the last one left in me
This is dedicated to those who have dealt with heartbreak and their friends simply tell them to "get over it" because you'll find somebody else some day. While that's true, you'll never find somebody that's the same as your past lover, etc. However, may I remind you that that future person may be better than the past. If that makes sense.
