It's Just Begun

My name is Edward. Edward Elric.
I'm 22, and I go to college.
I live a normal life with my younger brother, And childhood friend.
There's just one little thing...
I work at an Adult Goods store to support my college funds...

''Have a good day.'' Edward Elric, a now college student said to a couple who walked hand in hand making flirtatious expressions to one another as they left annoying the small blonde seeing the last view of a bag in the woman's arms making a small sound in annoyance and boredom, ''Who would of thought working at a sex shop would be boring.'' The blonde said slouching on the counter. ''Don't slouch, It's bad for your posture.'' A voice said making Edward glance over still slouching making a face when seeing his gruff manager looking at him with a cigarette in between her tinted lips, ''You wouldn't find it boring if you were a bit more experimental.'' She said simply with a serious expression, ''You're 22, you should be more out there. And at least try to crack a smile at least once.'' She added seeing the blonde scowl making a face. ''Yes Madame Christmas.'' Edward said standing upright still frowning making the older woman frown, ''Edward... You're not a bad looking boy... Why are you so sour at life and love? Did someone break your heart?'', ''No.'' Edward said in a quick huff, ''I just don't care for it... I only wanted to work here, so I can pay for my college...'' The blonde said making a face, ''College huh?...'' The gruff woman said walking away but stopped. ''Madame Christmas?...'', ''Yes?'', ''Do you have any kids?'' Edward asked making the older woman pause at the sudden odd question, ''No... But I do have a nephew, that happens to be my foster child.'' Madame Christmas said seeing Edward look surprised for once, ''That's a first... Looks like you do react.'' She said smiling a bit, ''What brings the sudden curiosity Edward?'' She asked. ''I was just asking...'', ''Is it cause of my appearance?'', ''Maybe...'' Edward said hearing his manager laugh, ''Since we're on the topic, I might as well. He's a lot older than you... He's a good man, I raised him that way.'' The older woman said with a smile, ''Who are they?'', ''Not to be rude Edward but... Aren't you going to be late for class?'' Madame Christmas interrupted making Edward jump up in panic. ''You're right! I'm going to be so late!'' The blonde said in a panic grabbing his backpack running off, ''I'm sorry! I'll see you tomorrow!'' Edward said after making the older woman laugh to herself, ''You girls better not think of making a move on Edward.'' She said hearing the rest of her female staff groan seeing a couple walk in greeting them, ''Welcome, If you need help finding anything feel free to ask me or any of my girls~". ''Late, late, late! I'm so late!" The blonde screamed as he ran down the street and across the streets seeing the time on his phone that it was almost four, ''The professor is going to kill me again!'' Edward groaned not caring how people looked at him, before running into someone never bothering to look up to see who it was since he was late as was, saying a mere quick 'Sorry' as he ran off again. ''What a rude kid....'' The raven haired dark eyed male that he had bumped into said turning to see the blonde making a turn to where the college was making him smile a bit, despite Edward having dropped his coffee onto his shirt walking off without a word, but with only one thought in mind, ''He's cute though.'', ''Al's going to kill me!'' The blonde thought once he reached the college campus still having to run up the stairs that headed to his class. "What's the excuse today Elric!'' Edward screamed before reaching his class seeing it was empty making him grab his head and groan in annoyance out of breath, ''The one day I'm late they go somewhere else?! This is what I get for being late!'', ''If you were late, but you aren't even though you are.'' A voice said making Edward turn to see his younger brother looking at him, ''Al...''. ''The Professor emailed us that he cancelled class today due to family reasons.'' Alphonse started seeing his brother was out of breath, ''But of course you wouldn't have known that since you were working, though... I messaged you just that... Didn't you get my message brother?'' The younger brother asked with a raised brow making Edward pull his phone out and see Al had sent him the message heaving a tired sigh dropping on the floor sitting down. ''You've got to be kidding me...'', ''Well you got lucky in my opinion.'' Al said looking down to his brother who was catching his breath as he pulled out a water bottle from his backpack, "This tardiness would of made three late days, and he would of dropped you.'' He continued seeing his older brother make a sound in relief after finishing the whole water bottle despite his red cheeks, ''You're right... Lucky me I guess...''. ''Since you're here now, we can go eat.'' Al said with a smile, "I was just waiting for you, even though I'm starving.'' He said seeing Edward get up and nod, ''Lunch is on me today Al... Speaking of which... Where's Win?'', ''Winry? She's in Welding class, she knew you were going to be late, so she said she'll meet up with us later at home.''  Al said as they headed out of the campus to a nearby burger place. ''An hour late today? What happened?'' Al asked as he bit into the burger he had ordered, ''I was talking to Madame Christmas...'' Edward said surprising Al as he paused midway from his bite, ''Madame Christmas?... She was actually there today?'', ''Yeah, It was a surprise since she's never there, even though she is the damn manager...'' Edward said with a mumble sipping into the cola. ''What were you talking to her about?'', ''She just kept going on about I hate working there, because I'm not experimental enough...'', ''Well she's not wrong... You're really uptight when it comes to any kind of affection...'' The younger brother said quietly seeing his brother make a face, ''Please, I just don't have time for that shit.'' Edward said in his defense making Al sigh heavily. ''We'll change the topic if you want.'', ''No there's more.'' Edward started, "I asked her if she had any kids, and she said that she had a nephew twice my age, that also happened to be her foster child.'' The blonde said surprising Al since Madame Christmas rarely spoke of herself, ''Really?... What made you curious all of a sudden?'', ''I don't know... I'm just really curious to know who her kid is.'' Edward said biting into the burger eating away never realizing he was going to find out soon.
