Riza who was still sleeping in bed, woke up when hearing her phone go off the next morning, mumbling sleepily to herself, clumsily reaching for her cellphone almost dropping it off the drawer but answered it sleepily, ''Hello...'', ''Riza...'', ''Roy?... Do you know what time it is?...'' Riza asked seeing it was five o clock on her alarm clock. ''What could be so important, that you have to call me so early?...'' She asked but paused when hearing Roy cough, and sniffle on the other end of the line, ''...Are you sick?'' Riza asked sitting up with Hayate sitting on her lap, ''...Yeah...Haha...'' The female blonde heard Roy reply, ''You were just fine when I saw you...'' Riza said making a face casually concerned. ''Want me to go over and bring you some medicine?'', ''Yeah... Chris wants me to check in on the girls when she's not there, and today happens to be one of those days.'' Roy said laughing hearing Riza sigh at the end of the line, ''Sure... Of course... Give me about... Forty five minutes?'' She said hearing silence on the other end, ''Roy?...'' She called out more genuinely concerned. ''Is everything alright?...'', ''I'll see you later.'' Roy said simply before hanging up with a sneeze, confusing Riza who looked at her cellphone, ''...Okay?...'' She said before pausing with a confused half asleep expression, ''...Guess, I'll make something over there.'' She said looking down at Hayate who was looking up, smiling softly at the dog, ''I'm taking you with me, okay?''. ''Brother, you never told us where you were yesterday.'', ''I was home sleeping, since I was getting a fever.'', ''Oh... Well you look better today.'' Edward recalled the conversation from earlier before Al and Winry left for their morning class, with Edward making a face turning on his side with a flustered expression, at remembering Roy's lips against his. Edward felt his face burn more at the thought, ''I didn't hate it but... My anger got the best of me...'' He said before bringing his pillow to his chest, deciding to go back to sleep, ''What the hell happened to your face, Roy Mustang?...'' Riza asked when seeing Roy answer the door, seeing he was sniffling, with a bruise on his right cheek from what seemed like a harsh slap. ''...You know how I am, always saying things.'' Roy answered with a laugh seeing Riza look at him unconvinced with Black Hayate in her arms, ''...Right... Well, I can make you a chicken soup, before you take that medicine that I have.'', ''You always look out for me, don't you?'' Roy asked nervously seeing Riza walk in annoyed, ''Only cause you can't take care of yourself.''. The girls were working in the small shop, looking over when hearing someone walk in, to see Roy dressed up and flustered from the small fever, ''Ah! Roy, are you sick... What happened to our face!?'' Winry's twin said running over to him hugging him, ''Yeah... So might want to stop hugging me Vanessa...'' Roy said with Madeline passing by with a box in her arms. ''Weird... Edward had a fever yesterday... You didn't kiss him, did you?'' Madeline teased with a laugh hearing Roy sigh, ''I'm teasing Roy... You know that.'' She said getting serious despite looking at the bandaged cheek, ''Hey, In all seriousness... Have you heard from Edward? He said he was coming in today, and... He's never late so...'' Madeline said with a worried expression. ''He's coming in with that fever?'' Roy asked looking down at Vanessa who was still hugging him, ''I don't know about fever... He sounded better over the phone.'' Madeline said confused making a face to Vanessa, ''Hey... Wait till Madame Christmas hears about this, Vanessa.'' She said simply, making the smaller woman jump up and let go of Roy going back to work. ''It's... Eleven O' Clock, so that would make Edward two hours late?'' Roy said looking at the time on his phone with a raised brow, ''Well... Can you keep an eye out for him?'' Madeline asked seeing Roy nod almost sleepily, ''Of course.'' He said with the woman walking off to the back making Roy sigh and cough a bit, putting a hand on his chest. ''Shit! Shit! SHIT! I'm so late! Madame Christmas is going to kill me! Fuck!'' A familiar voice said making Roy turn to see Edward running in with his backpack flustered, but trip over his own foot, falling face first on the floor making a face in pain making the girls pause from their work, ''Fuck... I fucking overslept...'' Edward said seeing a pair of shoes in front of him. ''You're only two hours late, but I can arrange something with you so Chris won't know about this, Yeah Edward?'' A familair voice said making Edward freeze up at the sound of Roy's voice making a face looking up to see Roy kneeled in front of him, holding his hand out towards him, seeing Roy was the one that was sick now with his face bandaged from yesterday. ''Y...You're sick?...'', ''You look better... Need a hand, or are you going to keep laying there?'' The raven haired male asked despite the awkward tension betwee them, that Madeline had picked off quickly when seeing Edward look down flustered, but take Roy's hand hesitantly accepting his help for once, which surprised her raising a brow but went back to work. ''Well, since everything is okay here, guess I can go back home and sleep. I don't exactly feel well so...'' Roy said making a face sighing with Edward wiping himself off, ''About me being late...'', ''I won't tell Chris, just make sure you don't run late for class, yeah?'' Roy said walking off but pause in his steps, speaking up suddenly. ''Hey... As cute as you are, you sure have one hell of a temper.'' Roy said simply walking away making Edward's heart ache and race, putting his hand over his chest flustered, ''You like Roy don't you?'' Madeline's voice cut in making Edward jump up to see her right next to him, ''N-No... I don't...'', ''No need to lie Edward, your face gives it away.'' Madeline said simply smiling making Edward blush heavily embarrassed.
