"Open up!" The voice behind the door boomed and banged the door harder until it was at the point of breaking.

"Hey, take the girl into the back room and hide there, I'll take care of these guys." The blonde said and gave me a thumbs up in reassurance. I sighed, certain that I could take them all out in one swing, but obeyed and carried the confused girl into the back room.

Once I was sure we were hidden out of sight I asked the girl, "What's your name?"

She responded, "Elizabeth."

"That's a pretty name, I'm (Y/n)" I smiled down at Elizabeth, trying to make her feel comfortable.

"T-Thanks." Elizabeth stuttered. I can tell she is the shy type. Suddenly, we heard laughter coming from the blonde and then the people at the door yelling angrily at him.

"We should get going. I don't think that kid can hold them out much longer." I said and dragged Elizabeth out the back door. We pressed our bodies to the wall and I peaked over the corner to see what was going on.

The kid was being held up by his collar by one of the three guards there and I took this chance to run.

"Come on Elizabeth! Now is our chance to run!" I silently yelled and dragged Elizabeth behind me like a rag doll, unaware of how fragile she is. I felt something dragging me down and looked behind me to see Elizabeth had fallen to the ground, making us noticeable.

"Hey! Look! There are two girls! They must be one of The Seven Deadly Sins!" A guard yelled and started to chase after us but I quickly swooped Elizabeth up in my arms and dashed to the edge of a cliff.

I stood in panic as I looked down at the fall debating whether to jump or not but the guards came faster than I predicted. My heart beat increased as my eyes moved around rapidly but before I could make my move, the whole cliff broke down and collapsed. I hugged Elizabeth protectively and pulled her above me so I would take the hit.

Closing my eyes for embrace, I felt like as if I were flying instead of falling now. I carefully opened my eyes to see myself in the arms of the emerald eyed boy who was grinning wildly as he stared down at me and Elizabeth.

My eyes wandered up his muscular arms but only to be met with a red dragon mark on his shoulder.

"No way." I whispered to myself in disbelief and felt my body become stiff.

The mysterious blonde set me down on the ground with Elizabeth, who was keeping a strong grip on my shirt, and grinned down at me once again.

"Sorry about that, now get ready for a real introduction. My name is Melio-"

"Meliodas." I interrupted, still wide eyed that the actual Meliodas was right in front of me.

"B-But you can't be Meliodas, you just ca-" My sentence was cut short by a new person joining the party. My pupils shrunk at the new person towering over Meliodas and me because I recognized him. He was the guy that dragged me into my cell all those years back when I was suppose to be murdered.

"Hey, you look familiar." The guard said and moved closer to my face and immediately recognized my terrified face.

"What? You're suppose to be dead little girly! All these years and you were alive? I can't let that happen, you're going to ruin the Holy Knight's reputation!" The guard shouted in anger at my existence and swung his sword down at me. But before it was able to hit me, Meliodas stood in front of me and blocked the attack with his broken sword.

"Sorry buddy, I can't let you do that. You see, I have to protect these girls from monsters like you." Meliodas said and sliced his sword in the arm which caused a huge explosion to occur where the guard was standing.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" Meliodas shouted at me over the noise and I followed, still dumbstruck over the fact that I already found one of the deadly sins.

Once we were all safe and sound inside Boar Hat, Elizabeth explained how she was looking for The Seven Deadly Sins so they could help her get rid of all the Holy Knights. Meliodas agreed to help her find them and Elizabeth was forever grateful.

"What about you Dolly? Aren't you scared of me?" Meliodas gave me an innocent look and I just crossed my arms and turned away.

"Of course I'm not scared of you, and my name is (Y/n) for your information!" I said and puffed out my cheeks.

"Right, (Y/n). Why are you still here anyways? Won't your parents get worried?" Meliodas asked. I closed my eyes tightly and gave out a 'tch' at the sound of my parents.

"As if that bastard actually gave a shit about me." I cursed under my breath so Meliodas couldn't hear.

"What was that?" Meliodas asked, but with how skilled he is he must have heard me anyways.

"Nothing, I meant to say that I was here looking for adventure so I could finish writing my story. I'm an author you know." I stated, but it was a lie. You don't expect me to show up at the captain of The Seven Deadly Sins hide out, much less his home, and say 'I'm here to assassinate you' do you?

"Oh, in that case, you can tag along with us if you want." Melodas said and gave me his signature smile. I felt something flutter in my stomach when he did that, but what was it?
