Chapter 4

Beau, Jai, and Daniel bust through the door with James and Luke trailing behind on their phones as I hoped they hadn't seen what just had happened.

Jai walked over to me and gave me a hug. His hugs were so warm and gentle, yet so comforting. I could already tell that him and I were going to be close.

"I had no clue Cindy was your aunt!!" Skip says walking over to me.

"Yeah" I reply nervously, I could feel my cheeks burning.

"You're a great dancer by the way," James comments as he playfully hits my arm. So embarrassing.

As I walked over to my bed, I could feel eyes staring at me, but I didn't turn around. They all ran over to my bed and James and Beau sat on it with me, while Jai and Skip sat on the floor.

While the boys talked, I looked over at Luke who was glued to his phone leaning against my wall. I felt kind of sad at the fact that he didn't seem to notice or recognize me. Maybe he just thought I was annoying or something on the plane and he didn't want to deal with it.

I was knocked out of my daze by Jai nudging my arm ever so slightly giving me a look of concern. In reply I smiled back, and listened to the rest of the boys' conversation.

They explained that the house beside mine, is Daniel's. I couldn't help but laugh to myself. Having Daniel as a neighbour was going to be interesting.

For the past four hours all we did was talk and get to know each other. Cindy ordered us pizza as well so it was quite fun.

"Holy shit guys it's 9 o'clock!! We gonna run, nice seeing ya Ellie" Jai quickly said when giving me a hug goodbye. They all told me to text them, since they gave me their numbers. All except Luke.

He didn't once talk to any of us the whole time he was at mine; and that was a good 4 hours. The only time he spoke was to ask for a charger for his phone. Nothing else. There was the occasional awkward eye contact between us two, but that only lasted about 2 seconds each at the most. I could not believe that he didn't remember me after all the stuff he said to me on the plane.

I guess Jai was right, he is a douche.

JAI'S P.O.V

"What the actual fuck Luke" I yell as the door to Skip's room closes. He didn't talk the whole fucking time and I could tell Ellie really wanted him to.

"What do you fucking want?!" He answers back sounding angry.

I didn't even care to answer, I just stormed out of Skips room, down the stairs, out the door and to Beau's car. I looked up at Ellie's window to see her standing there, with a look of worry. She must've heard me, the windows were still open and I was yelling really loud.

I looked away and slid down on the side of the car and brought my knees to my chest as I put my face into them.

I could hear footsteps but I chose to ignore them thinking it was one of the boys.

"Get the fuck away from me." I snapped, not taking my face away from the position I was in.

"Sorry, I'll leave then.." That wasn't the boys voice. It was more gentle, and feminine. I looked up to see Ellie slowly walking away from me.

"No, stay. I thought you were someone else." I quickly apologized. She smiled softly and came and sat beside me.

We just sat there in silence for a couple of minutes. It was so quiet, so peaceful. As I relaxed I finally broke the silence.

"Ever since me and the boys got popular we've been getting a lot more hate. I blame it on myself all the fucking time. I've been so angry and sad all the time. I freak out over the littlest of things. And when Luke didn't talk at all at your place, I guess I just flipped. I found it so rude and ignorant of him. I'm sorry that I bothered you though, Ell, I really am.."

After a minute of silence, I decided to get up, and walk towards the house. As I got up I felt Ellie's hand grab mine as she got up.

"Don't be sorry, you're just hurt. Everyone deals with hurt in a different way. You're working on it." She says with a gentle smile.

Before I knew it I pulled her in for a hug. She wasn't expecting it, so her body was tensed, but eased into the long hug. I could feel my eyes starting to water as she rubbed my back.

"I'll be here for you. Even if we just met, I'll always be here." She mumbled something after that I didn't quite hear, but I didn't mention it. It was good to have someone to talk to after all the events that had happened.
