Katy's POV Today is so hot so I decided to go to the beach. I put my hair into a braided ponytail and I put on a summery outfit.

I strolled down to the local beach where the waves were crashing against the sand. The beach wasn't your typical, sunbathing, people swimming beach.. no.. it was a British beach. Body boarders and people sat on the sand with shorts on. Well actually.. nobody was here. That's actually quite useful because the longer I stay on the xfactor, the more people have been recognising me. I walked down to the edge of the beach, right next to the water..I was staring out at the sea crashing against the sand and it just hit the edge of my toes. The summer breeze blew softly, making the sea just about reach the shore. I sat there thinking about the competition, my sister, the boys.. "KATY" someone yelled disturbing me from my thoughts. I could know that accent anywhere... "MATT?" I asked worriedly. No no no no no! "Hi" he said. "Erm.. hey" I said hesitantly. Meet Matt.. my ex. He was my first kiss and my first boyfriend. He was the one who told my sister about the cuts, he was the one who I completely fell for. I had forgotten about him.. with all this Louis business, I had forgotten about him! We broke up because we both wanted to work on our GCSE's (A/N GCSE are tests you take at the end of high school in England). That was when he got a girlfriend the day after we broke up.. made my insecurities worse I guess. "Listen, Katy.. I'm so sor-" he began but I soon cut him off. "Don't apologise. It's unnecessary. I managed to forget.." I said. "Do you think we could umm.. get back together." He asked. "Listen.. I'm sorry but I kind of have my eye on someone else" "Who?" He asked angrily. "You don't know them." "Who!?" He shouted very loudly. I forgot to mention it was an abusive relationship. "Nobody." I whispered.. getting scared. "You tell me or I will-" "Or you will what?" Came an accent. The accent of the one who I am falling so deeply for.. Louis! Thank goodness he was here. "I wasn't talking to you" Matt said through gritted teeth. "You lay a finger on her and your dead." Louis threatened.. I had never seen this side of Louis. "I'll lay a bit more than a finger in her" Matt said and soon enough, I felt a sharp pain on my cheek. "You phsycopath! What did I ever see in you? Go get a life Matt" I said trying to hide the fact that I was scared. Matt was about to say something when Louis punched him straight him the jaw.. "What was that for?" Matt shouted. "I said I'd kill you.. and I will." Louis gritted and started punching and kicking him. "Louis! Stop!" I said. He didn't hear me. "STOP LOUIS!" I screamed. "He hurt you! HE ISNT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Louis shouted with fury. I had never seen Louis so angry. "He isn't worth it! Please!!" I said with a soft smile, my cheek still stinging. He looked in my eyes and nodded. "Beat it!" He spat at Matt. He ran away like a little boy. Coward. I hugged Louis not wanting to let go.. he hugged back. "What happened? Are you okay? Who is that guy?" Louis worried. "I'm fine Lou.. That's my ex. It was an abusive relationship in high school.." I explained. "I could've killed him! You know that?" He raged. "Good thing you didn't. Then you would've had to go to jail. What would I do without you Louis?" I giggled slightly. A grin appeared on his face and he hugged me even tighter than before. I felt safe.. like no one could hurt me.
Louis POV I could've killed him right there and then. What a complete jerk! I just saw red and I wanted to beat the living day lights out of him. But there was one other thing playing on my mind... who was that guy Katy was talking about?
Katy POV We had been stood in the hug for about 5 minutes until I finally pulled away. I regretted it instantly. I missed the warmth that came from his body, his hands around my back making me feel safe and secure..
Once I had pulled back, Louis took off his shirt because we were still at the beach. His trunks ended just above his knee and he was just looking at me. "Want to go for a swim?" He asked. "Oh I don't know. I don't look great in swimsuits." I said insecurely looking down.. "I'm sure you will look amazing as always" he smiled comforting me.. I just slowly nodded and removed my shorts and crop top. It revealed my strappy pink bikini.

I looked up to see Louis staring at me. I awkwardly coughed and he snapped his head up at me and blushed. I just giggled. "Sorry but you look gooooood" he smirked. He looked at the water, then at me, then the water.. "NOOO" I screamed running away from him but it was no use. His long legs gave him a better advantage. I felt two strong arms pick me up bridal style. I squealed when he started picking up his pace. Soon, I felt freezing water so I decided to play a little prank. I held my breath under the water and closed my eyes. Let's just say this is what I heard. "NO KATY! Katy wake up please! I'm sorry" He lay me on the shore about to give me CPR.. I couldn't hold in my laughter anymore. I just started laughing hysterically and when I saw a very relieved Louis, it made me laugh even harder. "You should've seen your face!" I said in between laughs. He looked grumpy at first but soon joined in laughing. "That's what you get!" "If you pretended a bit longer, I would've gave you the breath of life.. what a shame!" He winked.. what a flirt! "Is that so?" I asked. "Yup" he said popping the p. "Good thing then!" I said winding him up.
After an hour of messing around in the water, we decided to go home. As I had walked to the beach, Louis drove me home. "Thanks Lou!" I smiled. "My pleasure" he smirked. I shook my head and waved goodbye.
