Warning: There will be cursing in this chapter. But I will not write out the whole word, i'll put that little star thing on a letter to bleep it out.

Notice: Also, the picture to the right is Arian when she's alot older...Around 15-16. And in the first chapter, the picture to the right is of Roxanne when she's older also.

Arian was pushed back and she fell on the floor. She gasped as her father loomed over her. "I am tired of you disobeying me child!" He barked at her as he held up his bottle of beer. "You don't do anything around the house, you never do what I tell you, and all you do is f*cking cry all day!"

Arian's eyebrows wrinkled as she fought the urge to yell back. Her father was an alcoholic, he always had a bottle of beer in his hand, and he was always drunk. He always yelled at Arian and abused her when her got the chance. But, Arian's mother was very kind. She never yelled at Arian, and she always tried to comfort her. Arian wished her father was that way.....

"...Why aren't you replying back?!" Her father demanded. He threw the bottle at Arian. She didn't move in time, so the bottle smacked her knee. It shattered all over the floor, beer was everywhere now and Arian's knee was bleeding as a piece of glass stuck out of it.

"Howard stop it!" Her mother yelled. She was beautiful. With her long, flowing red hair and her bright orange eyes....Arian took after her mother with the same feature, but her eyes were duller and her hair was shorter.

Arian's father whipped around and glared at her mother. "Shut up Marian!" He lifted his hand and slapped her across her face. She staggered backwards, but managed to keep her balance. Her father turned back to Arian and yelled, "As for you, go to your room! I don't want to see your face until tomorrow!"

Arian opened her mouth and said, "But it's only 3:00!" She said.

Her father came over and punched her head. "I said GO!"

Arian whimpered as she got to her feet and ran upstairs to her room. She slammed the door behind her and locked it before leaning against the door and slowly sliding to the floor. "I hate him! I hate him so much!" She closed her eyes as she pounded the floor with her fist. "I want him dead! He should die!"

Knock...Knock....

"Arian? Honey?"

Arian opened her eyes and looked up at the door. "...Mom?"

The door knob jiggled. "Please, unlock the door."

Arian got to her feet and quickly unlocked the door. Her mother came and and closed the door behind her. "Sit down, Arian." Her mother said.

Arian walked over to her bed and sat down on the edge of it. Her mother sat down beside her and put her arm over her daughters shoulders as she cleaned off Arian's knee.. "mom...." Arian whispered. Her mother looked down as Arian kept going, "Why did you have to marry that creep?"

Her mother sighed and closed her eyes before explaining, "He wasn't always like this, honey. He used to be kind, sweet, gentle...But now....He's changed. He and his friends went out for drinks when I was pregnant with you. He didn't come back for days....And it had been almost nine months. I had to call up a friend to take me to the hospital. She did, and I gave birth to you....Your father never came. He never came to see you until I could go back home. But when I did...." She paused for a moment, trying not to cry. "When I did, the house was a wreck. Your father was screaming and yelling at me when I walked inside. He was drunk...And he got addicted. He never stopped. And he's like that to this very day."

Arian blinked her orange eyes at her mother. "Why haven't you told me before?"

Her mother started to stroke Arian's hair. "You're only ten, Arian. I'm not even sure if you're ready to understand now."
