Betty grabbed the bottle of beer. The whole table was staring at her to take a swig. Reggie was anticipating for Betty to drink some. Veronica was out talking to people who were following her around.

"So Miss perfect, you gonna drink some or keep us all waiting?" Reggie obnoxiously prodded.

Betty looked down at the bottle. She wanted to let go of her self some how. She took a generous swig. She felt her problems slowly go away with each sip. The football team began to cheer.

"Looks like you're not at perfect as you seem Cooper," Reggie laughed.

"Well I'm starting to break out of my shell. What can I say?" Betty half heartedly smiled.

Veronica came strutting into the Blossom living room. Betty tried to hide the bottle, but Veronica seemed to notice that the she had been drinking.

"Boys, why are you all crowded around her? Don't you have something better to do? Or are you trying to intoxicate her so you can force her into doing something?" Veronica yelled.

Betty looked down trying to hide her embarrassment. Her face started to turn a nice shade of mahogany. Veronica grabbed her hand and led her out of the Blossom house.

"Betty, what were you thinking? I get your trying to stop people from thinking you're extremely perfect, but you need to have respect for your self," Veronica said in a motherly tone.

"Veronica, I don't need you here controlling my life. Sure they wanted me to drink, but I was the one who drank it," Betty explained.

Veronica looked away. Betty started to feel bad for getting upset. She was just drunk. Betty's heart started to race.

"Betty, promise me this. You won't do this to yourself again," Veronica whispered.

Betty nodded and hugged Veronica. Betty's arms wrapped around Veronica's hips. They stared into each other's eyes. Betty gave away a slight smile. Veronica was still serious.

"Betty you're coming home with me. You're obviously too drunk to function."

"Okay...." Betty slurred while laughing.

Betty got into the car and laid her head into her hands. She was beginning to gain perception on what was right and wrong. She knew she shouldn't have drank the beer but she was too drunk to admit it. The whole car ride Betty was obnoxiously stubborn. Everything Veronica said Betty bucked her on it.

When they got back to Veronica's apartment, Veronica and Betty laid next to each other while watching a movie. It was Veronica's idea to watch the hangover. Betty laughed at every scene drunkenly.

"Betty, why did you feel the need to drink?" Veronica asked now facing Betty.

"I just felt all of my responsibilities were starting to become a little too much for me. This one night I wanted to let loose," Betty responded her face now full of sorrow.

Betty and Veronica stared at each other. Betty looked down and notice that they were holding hands. Her fingers intertwined with Veronica's. Veronica didn't seem to care.

"I like this," Betty sighed.

"I like sober Betty. Because I know that when she does things, she actually thinks about them," Veronica sighed,"Betty, don't ever change who you are for anyone else."

Betty nodded and grabbed both of Veronica's hands. Veronica squeezed them tightly and they both hugged.
