Veronica and Betty kept their thing going on. Betty broke things off with Jughead to avoid breaking his heart any further. He was upset but he ultimately wanted Betty to be happy. She didn't tell him why she dumped him, but part of him knew. Betty and Veronica had been inseparable since the sleepover. It was obvious something happened.
Betty sat on her bed. Her mother opened the door without knocking. She seemed to have an unexpected spring in her step. She was usually cold and dark, but today she seemed excited about something.
"Betty, there's a boy I'd like for you to meet! I actually think you should date him."
"Um I don't want to date anyone!" Betty shouted. Her heart stayed to thump harder and her face turned pink.
"Oh Betty, don't be childish. This is a great opportunity for us- I mean you. Plus he's got money and authority in our town," Alice laughed.
"I'm not gonna date him," Betty resisted.
"Oh trust me you will. I'll make you. Your gonna date him no matter what. You don't want to see what I can do to you if you don't listen!" Alice yelled.
Betty waited for Alice to leave her room, so she could wipe her tears away. She grabbed her phone and texted Veronica.
Betty~ V I have bad news.
Veronica~ I'm coming.
Betty~ No don't. We should meet at the party later tonight.
Veronica~ Ok.
(At the party)
Betty led Veronica to a room. Veronica knew by the sadness in her her eyes that something was wrong.
"Veronica, my mom said I have to date this boy and if I don't something bad will happen," Betty cried.
Veronica looked down. She had never cried over something like this. However, tonight was different, and Betty was different from any other. She wiped away the tears that fell silently.
"But Betty, are you going to listen?" Veronica asked.
"Veronica, I don't know what she has in store for me. If I don't do it something bad will happen. I know it will. I pretty sure she wants me to marry him as well."
"Do you even want to be with him? What about us?"
"No of course I don't want to date him. I want you. But I have to listen. I'm sorry."Betty pulled away and opened the door.
The rest of the night Betty kept her space. She casually talked with some of the other people. She found herself drinking later that night. It was relaxing. It seemed to relieve stress.
Betty turned to see Veronica with Archie. Her hands were all on him. Betty couldn't help but feel jealous. She later saw them disappear into a room. That's when Betty decided she had had enough. She left the party without telling anyone. Tears fell from her eyes and she realized maybe dating this guy wouldn't be so bad.

Veronica only kissed Archie to make Betty jealous. Veronica never wanted to be stuck in a room with Archie Andrews with clothes flying off. When they left the room, she noticed Betty was gone. Her heart filled with grief.
She called Betty, but it went straight to voice mail. She then knew she screwed up. Bad too. She tried her hardest to let the rest of the night be as fun as possible, but she couldn't seem to make it work, so she bounced.
She got to her apartment and drowned her sorrows in a bucket of Ice cream. Hermione came into the apartment later, and found her daughter crying.
"Mija, what's wrong?" Hermione asked.
"I messed up! I hurt Betty, again." She jumped up and hugged her mom.
"I'm sure Betty can forgive you," Hermione cooed.
Hermione made Veronica go to bed to clear her mind. She tossed and turned. In an unsuccessful attempt at falling asleep, Veronica decided to go call Betty to clear things up.
It went to voicemail once again. Veronica rubbed her head, and decided to give up on Betty that night. She made it her duty to apologize the next day

Veronica strutted to Betty. Kevin was standing beside her. Betty sighed and rolled her eyes and turned to leave.
"Betty I'm-"
"Have you seen Betty's new man?!?! He's gorgeous!" Kevin swooned.
Veronica stood in shock. Her world came crashing down. She tried to think of something to say. She took a deep breath and bit her tongue. Betty Cooper had officially started war.
"Oh Veronica what were you going to say?" Betty asked.
"Oh just that I'm.... dating Archie." Veronica knew this was a lie, but she was going to make it seem true.
"Oh, I see." Betty sighed and rolled her eyes.
Kevin was dumbfounded. Both girls were acting so strange. He couldn't figure out why though.
A tall Blonde boy walked up behind Betty. He put his hands around her waist. Betty smirked at Veronica.
"Hey Babe," He flirted.
"Hey Collin," Betty laughed.
Veronica bit the side of her cheek and stormed off. Kevin once again was left confused by the two. Betty laughed, seeing that she got under Veronica's skin.
Betty pulled away from the boy and grabbed his hand. She smiled when they touched. Although, she didn't feel butterflies like how she does with Veronica. Collin just smiled and walked with Betty.
A/N: I haven't had much time to write, but I definitely will be writing more and more. I might end this story soon. Only because I don't really have much time to write anymore. But don't worry it will have a full ending.
