Aiden turns around and starts heading home. He gets on his bike then rides it every where but no sign of her. He then thought "maybe she's at the boat" so he goes there and looks every where. No sign of her at all; he hears a noise then looks under these boards. He was taking everything apart and there she was.

Her eyes filled with tears and tear drops rushing from her cheeks. Aiden pulls her out then wraps his arms around her giving her a nice and warm long hug.

"I don't want to go back. I don't want to see my dad or mom ever again." She says while still crying. Aiden looks at Anna with sorrow. He grabs her hand then puts her on the boat. "Tell me where your backpack is and I'll get stuff to put in it and I'll do the same with my backpack." Aiden says.

"my backpack is in my bedroom next to the computer." Replied Anna. Aiden went to her house first then his. He hopped through the window, grabbed her backpack then quietly headed down the stairs. "Ahh shit! Her parents are still up!" Aiden said. In a quiet voice. He sneeks into the kitchen while crouching then goes to the fridge to find food.

After he does that he grabs a couple knives just in case. Before he could go upstairs Anna's dad was coming into the kitchen. Aiden had to find a spot to hide quickly or else he was dead. He sees the cupboards then opens them, hides in there while leaving a crack open to watch if the coast was clear.

After a few minutes Anna's dad leaves the kitchen then sits back down. Aiden quickly goes upstairs and into Anna's room. He grabs some of her clothes but then sees her undies drawer. He immediately closed the drawer while giving a shocked face then heads out the window, down to the grass then gets on his bike then leaves to his house.

As soon as he arrives at his house he does the same thing. But this time it took a little longer because of dealing with his mom. After he escapes the house he's finally back.

"Finally, what took you so long?" I asked. "it was my mom, it doesn't matter." He said.

We placed our backpacks on the boat then got it started. The motor runs loud; almost feels like it'll wake up the whole neighborhood. Aiden and I push the boat into the water then we hopped in while our feet were wet up to our knees. Aiden quickly rushes into the garage.

"Aiden where you going?!" I yelled. "hold on I'll be back!" He yelled back.

He comes back with paddles then hops into the boat handing Anna one and having himself one. Anna looks back at our home then looks at Aiden.

"Did you grab the map?" I asked. Aiden pulls out a wrinkled up piece of paper then shows it to me.

I shook my head then said ok. A couple hours passed and we were in a swamp. I got up from taking a nap but I don't remember much. I look over and I noticed I was laying my head on Aiden's head but I guess he didn't seem to mind. I started looking around thinking to myself *oh my god*

I couldn't believe that I fell asleep on Aiden, but at least he didn't mind. Then I brought myself back to reality and started looking around. The lake was green with seeweed floating around and logs were on the edges of land. The trees were sagging down as if rain had fallen on them hard. The one thing that scared me was alligators.

I placed my hands on the rim of the boat and looked down to see if I could see anything but the water was really green and dirty. I look over at Aiden and I start tapping on him.

"Aiden... Aiden wake up." I said. A couple times. He wakes up then looks around wondering where we're at. "we're in a swamp of you're wondering." I said. "Is this where we're supposed to be?" Aiden asks.

I looked at him with a straight face then shrugged. We both started looking for the map but I was thinking it was buried under our mess. I found my phone and checked to see if anybody messaged me.

"oh my god." I said in a shocking voice. Aiden looked at me with a concerning face. I look up in a upsetting face. "My moms in the hospital." I said in a sorrow voice. "Why? What happened?" Aiden asked in a concerning voice.

"Dad said she got into a crash about an hour ago looking for me... What have I done? I... I have to go back... We have to go back Aiden... I need to see her!" I said.

Aiden shook his head no. "We can't go back, we have to figure out how to get out of here." Said Aiden.

"no we have to go back! You don't understand! I... I... I screwed up when I ran away, I was angry and..." I stopped talking because tears started coming out of my eyes.

My voice starts cracking and the first tear comes out. But what broke me even more is that Aiden didn't wrap his arms around me this time. He just sat there zoning out. I felt anger growing even more inside me.

I took the paddle and started going towards shore. "Wait what are you doing?" Aiden asked.

But I refused to answer him and I just ignored him. As the boat hit the land I got up then started walking away and didn't turn back. Aiden didn't follow me but I didn't turn back and just kept walking.

I got deeper and deeper into the woods. I had my phone on me just in case something happened but the battery was draining and getting lower. I kept wandering the woods then wrapped my arms around myself. I wasn't watching where I was going; I tripped and fell inside a puddle covered in dirt and mud.
