GCSEs
You know, what you have been preparing for since year 7. The actual reason you are in school. If you are in Year 10 now...
START REVISING FOR YOUR GCSES!!!!!!
Like open your maths book, go and learn the quadratic equation, actually start full on studying.
Ignore what your friends are doing, your GCSEs are your own no one else is sitting them but you.
I figured out that no matter what level of education you are doing, there's always going to be the group of people that don't care about their education. LEAVE THEM! They will end up in McDonalds if they continue as they are. Just let them be.
So I started revising for my Mock exams in September 2016. I was writing up notes for Science and other subjects as I was having the lessons. I remember in the morning at school I would be writing something on chemistry and people will be looking at me like "rah she's getting ready for her exams already." Anyway fast forward to this time in which Mock are in less than 24 hours. I haven't finished revising everything even though I started revising last year. I should be panicking now but I'm not. I mean like most people are expecting me to do well in these exams and I am expecting that too but I am gonna say now that like I would actually prefer to get bad grades now. If i get bad grades and they are unreliable I will work harder. If i get good grades and they are unreliable I will end up relaxing and then the real GCSE will come and then God forbid I end up doing bad.
People need to understand that getting bad grades doesn't lower your self esteem. Your predicted grades should not be the dictator of your life. Lemme just say now that I am predicted a 4 (A low C grade) in Geography and while that may seem like an amazing grade to some, to me a C is like lower than a fail it is like a U to me. So when I received this grade, I was a bit upset but It made me work harder in Geography. In my Geography Mock I am aiming for a 6(B Grade) or above.
Whatever your predicted grades are, you can exceed them. You can exceed them if you put in the effort. Don't let your grades put you down, you are so much more than a number/letter.
Motivation/Study tips:
1. Listen to music before your exam. Trust me, this always makes me feel better, and I tend to calm down before the exam.
2. Don't listen to the people who are panicking. It will only stress you more.
3. STAY CALM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Til another time,
