Hamilton's POV---------------------------------
I had been in the crowded hallway discreetly looking for Thomas while blatantly avoiding my friends when a FUCKING TOWER OF MAGENTA DRAGGED ME INTO A CUSTODIAL CLOSET."THE FU-" I began. But the I realize that it's Jefferson that pulled me into the closet. My face goes all red and I suddenly become aware of how close we are to each other. I smile a big dumb smile but he just looks down at me very seriously.
"We need to talk."
Jefferson's POV---------------------------------
I'm acting on instinct now, doing whatever my gut tells me. I look around to make sure no one was in the custodial closet, knowing it was dumb but-
I scream and Hamilton jumps ten feet in the air. Sitting in the corner of the closet is a tall girl with short choppy brown hair, the ends died red. She's reading a biography on Lin-Manuel Miranda.
"Who the hell are you?!?!" I scream. She puts her finger in the air as if to say "wait for it", marks her place in the book, then looks up.
"Names Juniper. I just transferred here two days ago and I haven't been assigned a dorm yet, so I kinda live here." She gives a nonchalant shrug and both me and Hamilton stare at her quizzically. She shrugs again and silently exits the room.
I focus my attention back to Hamilton. My face heats up and I feel like it's hard to breathe. Finally, I just say it.
"Do you love me?!?!
Hamilton stares at me with shock, and I notice his cheeks turn a bright pink. He looks so cute when he's embarrassed. He clears his throat to speak, then closes his mouth. He clears it again before deciding just to simply nod his head yes. I can't believe it. I have made arrogant, loud mouthed Hamilton speechless. I grin from ear to ear, but then I remember what I have to tell him.
"Look, Alex, we gotta keep our relationship under wraps, Kay? We don't want to get targeted or anything by King and his band of cronies. So for the time being, can we, like, still pretend to hate each other? Just in public, of course!" I wring my hands, scared that I've blown it and that it sounds like I still hate him. Alexander just smiles at me and stands on his tip toes, gently kissing me. I stiffen but then melt into the kiss.
" I doubt it will be hard to pretend to hate you." He says sarcastically while are arms are wrapped around each other.
"Oh, fuck off" I shoot back teasingly. Hamilton waggled his eyebrows and I blush.
Laurens' POV------------------------------------
"What do ya suppose there doing in there?" I hesitantly ask Laf and Herc. Hercules just shrugs, but Lafayette does the liberty of miming it out for me.
"Ohhh Hamilton, Darlin' you are the cheese to my macaroni" He says in an attempt to mimic Jefferson's heavy southern accent. He then turns on his heel and kneels, presumably to show how short Hamilton is.
"Ohh Jefferson, I'd take a break for youuuuuu" Hercules bursts out laughing but I don't find it funny at all. How could Hamilton love Jefferson, the one he'd hated from the beginning?
I shake my head," C'mon guys, let's get to class."
Peggy's POV--------------------------------------
I walked the hallways holding Theodosia's hand and feeling all around happy, when a figure came crashing into me.
"Omg i'm so sorry you see these two guys were gonna make out in my janitorial closet which I've been using as a dorm-" Theodosia helps me up and I take a good look at the girl who keeps rambling on. She is easily as tall as Lafayette, and has short, choppy brown hair. She's wearing bright red converse and is clutching a huge book to her chest.
"It's fine," I say, shrugging it off. Theodosia looks at the girl, very confused.
"Are you new, I haven't seen you around before? And did you just say that you've been using a janitors closet as a dorm room?" Theodosia asks, shocked. The girl slowly nods her head 'yes'.
I grab her hand and grab Theodosia's as well," I know where I can get you a dorm."
Lafayette's POV---------------------------------
"Peggy, mon ami, did you just adopt a random student and suggest she live with us?!" Peggy had just burst into our debate class with Theodosia and some new girl in tow, and was now asking me and the gang to give up our spare room for her.
"Yes." Peggy says with a lopsided smile.
"Ok." I say cheerfully. The girl behind Peggy smiles for the first time since she walked in. She's easily as tall as I am and is holding a biography about founding father Lin-Manuel Miranda.
"Hey, Herc! John! Is it ok if I adopt this random girl and let her use the spare room?" I yell across the classroom. They both look at each other than give me an ok sign.
I turn back to the girl and smile," Welcome to hell."
Peggy leads her and Theodosia to the corner of the classroom as the late bell rings. Me. Washington strides into the classroom and everyone makes sure to look alert.
He starts to explain how we will be debating the use of the death penalty in class today and that he wants the debate to at least try to be on topic.
Suddenly, the door bursts open and both Alexander and Jefferson walk in, looking very disheveled. Mhmmm. Like I don't know why they looks like that, I've done the dirty with Herc enough times to know.
"Why are the both of you late?" Washington wearily asks, seeming almost afraid of what the answer might be.
"He pushed me down the stairs." Jefferson says unconvincingly. Mhmm, sure, like Hamilton's short ass could do that. Washington doesn't push the matter, though, and dismisses them both to their seats. I wonder if they remember that the debated today, and they're on opposing sides.
Hamilton's POV---------------------------------
I had totally forgotten about the debate today, and nearly had a heart attack realizing that me and Jefferson would have to go one on one.
" The death penalty is inhumane, and should have been abandoned long ago in the dark ages. If the shoe fits wear it, if crime rates are high don't try and solve it by executing people." Jefferson says, his southern accent thick. Before I know it, it's my turn.
"Thomas, that was a real nice declaration, welcome to the present we're running a real nation. Would you like to join us, or just let murderers out on the street. Another thing Mr. Age of Enlightment, you say the death penalty is inhumane, yeah, well, so we're the crimes committed. And hey, turn around bend over, and I'll show you where MY shoe fits!" The class roar with approval, but Jefferson just smirks.
"In sure that's not the only thing you'll be shoving up there." The class goes silent and my face turns red. HE WAS THE ONE WHO SAID EARLIER WE HAD TO KEEP OUR RELATIONSHIP UNDER WRAPS!!!
"I'm sure I don't know what you mean," I try and respond as coolly as possible through gritted teeth.
"I'm sure you do," he says waggling his eyebrows. He needs to shut up before he blows his cover. I do the only thing logical.
I calmly pick up a history book and hit him across the face with it.
(A/n: OMG 800 VIEWS I CANT EVEN! I wrote this chapter all today on my phone so sorry if it's crappy. In case you haven't noticed, I added my oc, name Juniper. Comment if you liked her or have any questions about her! See y'all soon!)
(ANOTHER a/n: THE COMMENTS I CANT EVEN OMG. So I'm at a sleepover with my friend and she told me I need to explain Juniper better. She's roughly Laf's size, is as sassy as Angelica but as nerdy as Hamilton, and has thus far been living in a janitorial closet. She will be friends with Peggy and hang with the squad, but if you guys don't like her--??? Idk. I promise I'll make y'all proud.)
