Bill's POV

"How about we make a deal?" She asked, glaring up at me.

"Oh hoo hoo!" I rubbed my hands together. "I like that moxie kid. Tell me what kind of deal this is."

"I pick your side of the deal and you pick mine. We choose how the other person benefits instead of ourself's. But we have to genuinely think of what the other person likes. It's a win win no matter how you look at it. And we have to be genuine about following through." She smirked and sat up straight.

"And how exactly would you benefit if I pick your benefit?" This seemed sketchy. There is no logical reason for her to do this. I can still make deals. Everything else she said was right, she is clever indeed. But she might be pulling something here.

"That's up for you to decide. And we don't reveal to each other what their benefit is until after we make the deal." She smirked wider.

Stupid girl, what she didn't know is that I could read her mind. I'm fine with this Dreamcatcher, I've got the upper hand. But what will I pick for her? I know. I'll give her one wish.... No. I don't know what she would want... Damnit. Wait. Let me see what she's thinking.

I started to read her mind while she smiled at me. I tried to read her mind. I tried again. Why isn't it working. She can't have a completely clear mind. It's different it it was like.... Him. Why is this happening? Only a few things can do this... I looked around her room and it became obvious. I internally face palmed. She has a charm. Wether she knew it or not. One of these many dream catchers was a magical charm that blocks dream demons from entering a persons mind. Even makes it where we can't possess them. While she is near that charm, I am defenseless in the mind game. We are on even playing grounds. No. She has the upper foot.

"Now you get it, don't you?" She smirked. "There are sixty six dreamcatchers hanging in this room. One of the dream catchers in this room is the charm." She stood up and traced her fingers along all the feathers. "So, how about our deal?" She turned to me with her hand outstretched. "You pick my benefit. I already have yours."

I had what I think would work. I grabbed her hand and shook it. "It's a deal kid." I engulfed our hands in my signature blue flame.

"Good. Your benefit was that you can hang around me and I won't be telling my dad or anyone else in my family; as long as you respect my privacy." She smiled. I was pretty satisfied with my benefit. This means Pinetree can't chase me away and I can get closer to this meatsack. I can also figure out what is different from her

"Your benefit is that you can ask me any questions and I will answer them honestly." I said and she nodded.

"So, I guess you're gonna be around for a while." She smirked....

That's when I realized. She planned this. She wanted me to stay around, it benefits both of us, she is keeping me around to ask me questions. My benefit for her was just a bonus. I want to figure her out and ask her questions too. This chick is clever. She reminds me so much of him. If this plan is going to work, I need to gain her trust.

She sat back down on her bed and continued to read.

"What'chu reading?" I asked, leaning over to see.

"Guardians Of The Garden." She answered.

"What's it about?" I continued the conversation.

"Fairies and gnomes at war with eachother. It's a children's classic." She kept reading. I hummed not thinking of anything else to say. "How are dream demons created?" She asked, still reading.

"I'm the only dreams demon. But there are other demons." I answered.

"How many are there?" She asked another question.

"Twelve." I answered

"Do you always look like that. Dad said you can change forms but he has only seen them triangular." She flipped a page.

"That's an interesting way to phrase the question. I have many forms. Would you like to see me as a human?" I asked, hoping she would say yes. Since my powers are limited, I wouldn't mind looking human for a while, it would be easier

"Sure." I smiled when she answered. I snapped my fingers and I was in my human form. "What do ya think, Dreamcatcher?" I asked, posing.

"What do ya think, Dreamcatcher?" I asked, posing

"Okay, I guess." She shrugged.

"But you didn't even look." I whined and pouted my lip.

"Ugh." She put the book down and looked at me. "There, happy?"

"You're such a buzzkill." I groaned and sat on her bed, on her legs.

"Get off of me" she wiggled her legs and I hovered up. I floated over to her calendar and looked at her up coming events.

"Violin recital/competition?" I questioned, not really addressing her.

"I play the electric violin. It's a competition for electric and regular violin players. My best friend is my partner and plays the piano for me." She said, getting up and getting a 5x5 rubix cube off her desk and messing it up completely and then quickly putting it back together.

"Can I come to this competition of yours?" I asked, still floating.

"I guess, it's your part of the deal." She shrugged.

"Good. So it's on Saturday?" I nudged her with my elbow.

"Yeah, in two days." She went and sat on her bed, I hovered beside her.

"Do I need to wear anything special?" I rested my chin on my hands, propping then up with my elbows.

"What you have on now is fine."

"So it's formal attire?" I smirked. I visioned Dreamcatcher all dressed up.

"Yes, but I'm not wearing a dress. I wear a tux instead." She said, I frowned at her responce.

"Hmmm." I hummed.

"Hey Bill, can you go? I need to get into my pajamas."

"Sure thing toots." I winked and left the room. I came back in a minute later and she was in a low-cut tank top and short shorts. "Yeesh kid. Never realized how much of a womanly body you have." I whistled as she turned off the light and crawled into her bed. I changed back into my regular form. I sat at the edge of her bed and stayed quiet until her breathing started to even out. "Good night kid." I pulled her covers up to her shoulders and crawled in to her arms. "Hey, this is pretty warm." I chuckled. If I'm gonna get this girl to trust me, I better get closer to her.
