"I'm sorry Bill, she wanted to come see you and meet her other self. I didn't have a choice." Will looked down in shame.
"Honestly, you are so pathetic." I pinched the bridge of my nose. "Anyways, you better leave, it's not safe for a mortal from the mirror dimension to be in the original."
"But Bill, we just got here." Dreamslayer pouted.
"I don't care, it's dangerous. It's Will's job to protect you. Who knows what your dad or aunt will do to him if you suffer side effects from being here. I promise Dreamcatcher and I will come to your dimension at some point." I looked at Dreamcatcher for approval, she nodded.
"Yeah. I would love to do some research." She shrugged.
"Of course you would." I sighed. "Now get going you two." I shooed them.
"Alright, fine." Dreamslayer flipped her hair over her shoulder. "Let's go Willy." She hugged his arm.
"Pfft, Willy." I laughed at the nickname.
"It's not funny Bill." Will whined.
"Ha! Yes it is." I laughed harder. "Now go."
"Bye." The two said in unison, Will opened a portal and went back to his own dimension.
"So those are our mirrored selves?" Dreamcatcher asked.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"I don't like her." She shook her head in disgust.
"Me neither." I looked at her, she looked at me. "Tell me again, why the hell you kissed me?" I leaned forward and down to her height.
"What, you mean this?" She grabbed my collar again and kissed me again. Seriously, I swear she gets this from her aunt.
"Yeah, that." I whipped my mouth off.
"I told you, after every performance I kiss my partner Nathan, he wasn't here so I kissed you." She walked over to her desk and looked at herself in the mirror.
"Why twice?" I raised wiggled my eyebrows. "Are you sure you don't have a crush on me or something?"
"I'm sure, I just don't think a kiss means anything, it's nothing but an empty gesture." She sat down in a chair.
"That's not what most people think. It's an expression of love and compassion." I conjured a chair next to her and sat down. She was staring at her reflection.
"Not for me. As you can tell, I don't have many emotions. I never have. Hugs, kisses, hand-holding, cuddling, sex, none of those mean anything to me. I can hardly say I have friends. I have Nathan, but it's hardly friendship. We are just partners, nothing more. It's not like I don't have passion or anything. You've seen how much I love solving mysteries and how much I enjoy anomalies and everything weird." She picked at a curl in her hair. "And music."
"I think you are a lot like a demon." I said, a hand on wher back. She looked back at me with a puzzled face.
"How so?" She asked.
"All of us demons have emotions, but don't show them very often. We all have our own compassion, mine is dreams, I want to make the world a dream world. I'm sick of everything being so normal, people sleep so they can dream, I want to make life a dream. Each of us twelve demons have our purposes. However some of them are kind, and want the world to be at peace, unlike me." I looked at her and laughed. "You really would make a good demon." Then it hit me, that's an amazing idea. I was planning on turning Ford to a demon, if I get close enough to her, I could turn her into one. But that will take time. "But, I should tell you one of the demons isn't around anymore, just so you know."
